An amazing property but unfortunately one of the 3 beds was broken. The hosts told us in advance but didn’t realise we were 3 people and not the 2 they assumed were coming as they didn’t check the booking properly. They left us an out of date box of chocolates as compensation!
2 bedrooms could have worked ok but the largest room only had a bath not a shower. This meant either walking round the outside of the building or going up one flight of stairs and then down another to get to the spare shower.

About the host
Hosted by Nick Towe
Hi. We are Louise and Nick based in the UK. We love to invite guests to Coast View to experience everything we love about North Devon and Cornwall. We are interested in our coastal landscapes, their ecology, flora and fauna. We enjoy beautiful warm tranquil summer days and wild winter storms,
Why they chose this property
We have always loved North Devon and North Cornwall having spent our childhoods visiting the area, surfing, walking enjoying the stunning scenery.
We have been lucky enough to find a Grade 2 listed barn conversion on the Hartland peninsula, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, situated in Devon but very close to Cornwall and some of the best beaches in the UK.
The area has stunning quiet beaches, or busy ones if you prefer, excellent restaurants and pubs and activities for the old and young alike. Everything from helicopter day trips to see puffins on Lundy Island to farm adventures for the kids at the Big Sheep.
What makes this property unique
Situated in the rolling countryside Coast View looks towards the Atlantic Ocean with distant views of ships passing and sea birds wheeling in flight.
The private garden is adjacent to open fields and on some days you can be lucky enough to see wild deer and hares grazing or playing in the adjoining field and the sparkle of the sea beyond the fields.
The property has been fitted out to a high standard with some bespoke artworks, a wood burning stove, modern tv's, Bosch appliances and hotel quality linen and towels.
