Farmers Retreat
Booked with Keswick Cottages via telephone two weeks prior to a four night visit.
Both Caysie and Sarah were most helpful and informative making my booking easy.
Farmers Retreat is ideally located in Keswick and just a pleasant short walk through Fitz park to the town.
The property is comfortable, well equipped and maintained with everything you need. Parking being a
bonus.
Most enjoyable stay and would revisit again.

Hi, Lynn!
It was such a pleasure meeting you in person — and of course the wonderful Margaret, who completely won us over. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a kind review. It truly made our day.
I’m so glad we could get everything sorted easily for your stay when you called. It was lovely chatting with you, and Sarah and I were both delighted to help with the booking.
Farmers Retreat is in such a fantastic spot, and it’s wonderful to hear you enjoyed that stroll through Fitz Park into town. It’s one of those walks that always feels peaceful, no matter the weather.
We’re also really happy that the property had everything you needed and felt comfortable and well cared for — and yes, the parking is definitely a bit of a gem in Keswick!
Most importantly, we’re thrilled you had such an enjoyable visit and that you’d happily come back again. We’d be absolutely delighted to welcome you again.
Best wishes,
Keswick Cottages

Great little house close to river and Fitz park
A last minute booking but the house was perfect! Done up to a high standard with high quality fittings. Don’t be put off by the photo of the exterior of the house. Fab location just 10 mins walk into Keswick along river through Fitz park. Keswick cottages staff were super-attentive too.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely location
Farmers Retreat was one of the nicest holiday cottages we have been in for a very long time. We visit Keswick frequently. It was clean, comfortable with beautiful decor and comfortable furniture and beds. We loved its location on the edge of Fitz Park so the easy walk into town was made more special by walking through a pristine park. The children enjoyed their evening swims in the river Greta. It was idyllic.
The cottage could do with a bit more storage space in the bedrooms and towel rails in the bathroom. We particularly appreciated the cloakroom downstairs. Being a 3 generation family with younger children the second toilet was very welcome.
The only downside we experienced was a couple of nights where neighbours were particularly noisy with banging doors.
We would definitely stay there again.

Hi Caroline,
Thank you for your review. Farmer's Retreat is in a great location, close to Fitz Park where you can take a walk along the river, play a game of tennis or watch the local cricket team play. You may be lucky enough to catch a local singer performing in Cafe HNW. The cottage has been refurbished to a high standard and the outside space is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine after a day of adventures and exploring the town which is only a short walk away.
Best wishes, Keswick Cottages
