Sadly I cannot recommend this property. The listing is misleading. Directly behind the cottage there is a very noisy major road, we were unable to sleep with windows open. The Cottage is inadequately equiped for 6 people, not sufficient crockery, glasses etc. &there are only 4 dining chairs. We had to bring the outdoor chairs inside to squash around the small dining table. The beds were the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in. They are standard doubles, not old but very poor quality. You can see the springs through the bedlinen! Everytime one of us moved the springs literally screeched and therefore I hardly slept all weekend. The pillows were awful - take your own!The bathrooms were clean though there was a broken loo roll holder in the jack & Jill bathroom and no-where to leave toothpaste etc. A shelf & toothmugs would not go amiss here. The toilet seat was damaged & unstable also. The Lounge was lovely. Most of the property was clean, though the cooker top and oven were filthy when we arrived.I'd suggest the owners stay there with friends for a weekend to fully assess what is lacking.Clitheroe area is lovely and chalets on the far side of the lake would prob be less noisy.
