Short Stay Review
I had a very enjoyable stay at Skiddaw Heights. The accommodation was perfect for what I was looking for and also very walkable to both the town centre and Derwentwater. The hot tub was very much appreciated after a day's walking. It may have been my first stay in this property but I don't think it will be my last.

It’s great to know you made the most of the fantastic location, with easy walks into the town centre and down to Derwentwater. And we couldn’t agree more — the hot tub really is the perfect way to relax after a day out exploring the fells.
We’re especially pleased to hear you’re already thinking about returning — that’s the best compliment we could receive. We’d be absolutely delighted to welcome you back again in the future.

It’s great to know the location struck the perfect balance — close enough for easy access to shops and restaurants, yet far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. We’re also pleased the heating system kept you cosy and comfortable.
And it sounds like those views were a real highlight too — we can completely understand how they might keep drawing you back to the windows!

Short break
We had a lovely stay in this accommodation. It had everything we needed but just felt a like sparse. A few homely touches would have been nice. It was chilly on an evening it would have been nice to have a fire of some sort in the living room or some cosy blankets. The beds were very comfortable. Overall we found the property very nice.

Good location and well equipped
This was just what we needed to be close to family staying in Keswick. A great base with a parking spot (parking can be challenging in Keswick!) The hot tub was lovely and the views were great. The kitchen had everything needed (the cutlery is in an hidden drawer in a bigger drawer) and all was exactly as described eg no shower gel just hand wash. It was well heated and nicely decorated.

Lovely bungalow with amazing views
Bungalow has amazing views from lounge and kitchen. Lovely kitchen with plenty of storage space and bonus having dishwasher. Super comfy bed in the main bedroom and great to have plenty, practical furniture such as wardrobe and draws and not just a few hangers and shelves. As in previous reviews the settee is uncomfortable especially sitting for long periods of time. Hot tub was great although felt a bit weird going out the front door to go through gate to steps down to it. It's not far into the centre about 5-10 min walk and in a nice quiet area. All in all it was a great place and would recommend it. Keswick Cottage staff were really friendly and helpful.

Late booking - October short break
Last minute booking - staff at Keswick Cottages were really helpful and the owners brilliantly responsive. Very quiet residential location, great views from the back and only a bit less than a 10 mins walk into Keswick. Comfortable bed in the main bedroom. Easy to control the temperature in the property (not always the case on rentals). Well equipped kitchen. TVs in both the lounge and main bedroom were very good. The sofa in the lounge wasn’t the most practical or comfortable compared to other places where we’ve stayed. Hot tub was a real bonus. Would we stay again… yes!

Excellent location, very clean and very well equipped.
Very well equipped property with off street parking and plenty of off street parking, located within 10 minutes walk of the town centre. Everything was very clean and well maintained and the hot tub was very welcome, particularly during a hot period of weather. Beds were very comfortable. Only minor quibble was that there did not appear to be a bin into which to deposit our general refuse, so we had to bag it up and put it into the blue bin.

Hi there!
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We’re delighted to hear you found the property so well equipped, clean, and well maintained, and that the off?street parking and easy walk into the town centre worked well for you.
It’s great to know the hot tub was such a welcome feature too — especially during the recent warm weather — and that the beds helped make your stay extra comfortable.
Thank you as well for your feedback regarding the bins. We’re sorry for any confusion. The blue bin is intended for general waste at this property, but we appreciate that this may not have been as clear as it could have been. We’ll review the information provided to help avoid any uncertainty for future guests.
We’re really pleased you had such an enjoyable stay overall and would be very happy to welcome you back again in the future.
Best wishes,
