Charming imaginatively renovated character cottage set in the old part of the village of St Columb Minor, opposite the 15th century church and close to the traditional village pub (dog friendly). Only a 10-15 minute walk across the headland fields to Porth Beach and the coastal footpath to the wonderful bays of Newquay, Watergate Bay and beyond. Opposite is an ideal walking trail which is perfect for walking your dog.
The cottage has original stonework and exposed beams (ceiling height to the bottom of the beams 7ft 6"). Open log fire with glass doors for safety, logs provided, which is ideal for cosy breaks outside the summer season, there is also gas central heating. The front door opens into a small hallway, which is useful for coats. waterproofs, shoes etc and leads onto the living room with two comfortable sofas and chairs, tables and lamps, and opens onto the dining area with full length French doors overlooking the garden. Fully equipped cottage kitchen with fridge/separate freezer/washing machine/dishwasher/microwave/large double oven and ceramic hob. The main bedroom has a four-poster bed, bedside cupboards, wardrobe, chest of drawers and chair. The en suite bathroom has a bath/shower over. The second bathroom has a power shower. Delightfully decorated second bedroom with twin 3ft beds, bedside tables, chair, dressing table and built in cupboards with chest of drawers. The cosy and imaginatively decorated third bedroom is smaller with a nautical theme and a 3ft single bed, bedside unit, chest of drawers and hanging space. Both of the front bedrooms overlook the churchyard and countryside.
Attractive secluded courtyard garden (lit at night/nautical theme/permanent lawn) with outdoor solar shower, surfboard rack, BBQ, bistro table and chairs and outdoor lounge sitting area with rattan sofa suite. 'Welcome Basket' on arrival. Jasmine Cottage is in a wonderful location to explore all the nearby attractions. The Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Padstow, Falmouth and St. Ives are all within an easy driving distance, and if you are feeling energetic, you can walk into Newquay town centre in 20-30 minutes. There is a free parking space in the village pub - 50 yds away (permit supplied), and there is additional free parking nearby in the church car park and the old village square. You can park on the pavement next to the cottage to unload, the changeover day is Saturday and the cottage is dog friendly, one medium size dog or two small dogs (£25 per dog). Jasmine Cottage is perfect to stay in all year round.
