This beautifully restored cottage sits on the edge of the unique and fascinating cliff side village of Clovelly, with its winding cobbled street that leads down the hillside to the harbour, and where pubs, shops and restaurants can be enjoyed. Nearby Hartland is a short drive and boasts a selection of craft and pottery shops, cafes, restaurants as well as some of the most spectacular coastline views in the British Isles from Hartland Point. Beach lovers can enjoy surf and sand at the seaside village of Westward Ho!, known for its golden sands and unique pebble ridge. Further afield is Bude a firm favourite with visitors and where you can enjoy numerous beaches plus boating on the canal as well as typical seaside amenities, well worth a visit.

Entering the cottage through the porch takes you into the dining room with stone floor and exposed beams it showcases the age of the cottage. A warm and welcoming lounge is to your left, and this has a huge fireplace with open woodburner (logs included) Smart TV and comfy seating. Heading back through the dining room takes you to the galley kitchen, newly fitted with granite worksurfaces and everything you need to cater for your stay. The steep cottage style open tread stairs leads up from the dining room to the first floor and an open plan bunk room (Two full size bunk beds) cleverly designed to offer privacy. The landing area leads to the spacious and stylish family bathroom with bath, shower over and WC. The master bedroom offers a double bed and double aspect windows and exposed beams and from where you can look out to the sea, Lundy Island and beyond.

Outside there is a rear garden that wraps around the side of the property with garden furniture and BBQ. Follow the garden path up to the garage. A gate leads to the parking area. Allocated parking for 1 car in front of the garage, other vehicles can park roadside nearby. A small shed known as the donkey stable at the front of the property has a log store and a freezer.

La maison était parfaite. Nous avons adoré. À noter - si vous êtes en transport public, faites le plein d’épicerie avant d’arriver à Clovelly car il n’y a aucune épicerie aux alentours à pied. En ce qui concerne la communication rien n’était parfait. Nous avons envoyé un message à l’hôte le matin même de notre arrivée car nous n’avons pas reçu les détails d’accès à la maison. Nous avons appelé le hôte qui est UK cottages. Ils m’informent qu’ils ont envoyé les détails à mon compte Vrbo. J’ai essayé de leur faire comprendre que je n’avais pas de compte Vrbo et que c’était avec Expédia que j’ai réservé. Trop d'intermédiaires dans cette histoire et nous avons stressé pendant 3 heures à essayer d’avoir les détails qui se sont rendus dans ma boîte de messages Expédia trop tard. Nous avons passé 2 nuits et nous avons manqué d’eau chaude le premier jour. Le nom et le numéro de la personne à contacter dans le message reçu n’est plus la personne responsable. Nous avons trouvé un numéro d’urgence dans un cahier à la maison et nous n’avons jamais réussi à rejoindre la personne. Cela fait plus de 16 heures que j’ai communiqué avec l’hôte au sujet du manque d’eau chaude. Toujours pas de réponse. Maison parfaite mais si on a un problème, la communication est inexistante.
