About this property

DALE VIEW, Youlgreave, bright and cozy cottage in the heart of the Peak District

The cottage has been completely refurbished in 2025, and has a bright and airy feel, with all luxury modern amenities. The bedrooms are large doubles, with very comfortable Super-King and double size beds. The rear bedroom is especially spacious and has a beautiful view over the dale. The bathroom has a bath-with-shower-over, and includes complimentary toiletries. The open-plan bespoke kitchen-diner is appointed with high end appliances and includes cast iron cookware, and has a dining table large enough for four people to enjoy a convivial evening. The cozy living room has a streaming enabled flatscreen TV, a Bluetooth enabled hi-fi, and a well stocked bookshelf, creating a warm and inviting space in which to relax. There is a patio area with seating at the rear, to enjoy the wide-ranging spectacular views over the dale, Youlgreave village and beyond. Families with infants are very welcome - please bring your cots and high chairs. Up to two well behaved pets are welcome.

A lovely cottage, tastefully restored and well equipped. The property is bigger than we expected, has fantastic views of the Peak District with lovely local walks. Spotlessly clean and in a great location with the parking facilities opposite and superbly placed for the short trips to local towns inc Bakewell, Matlock and Buxton. We really enjoyed our stay, made all the better by Allen being friendly, flexible and accommodating.

Cozy, clean and comfortable country cottage with spectacular, far ranging views across the dale and Youlgrave village and beyond. The cottage is well equipped and has everything you could need for a long stay. The beds were very comfortable, with crisp linens. The bath and shower were refreshing and easy to use. The village has two well stocked shops and three friendly pubs. There is plenty of walks available from the doorstep. The free off road parking was situated right across the road from the cottage. We will be returning soon.

Had a lovely and refreshing stay at this spacious, light and cosy cottage, with stunning views of the dale from the living room, bedroom as well as the patio. Very comfortable sofas and beds. The shower is nice and powerful and the kitchen is great and well equipped. The bedding and pillows are lush with high grade towels and free toiletries included. There is ample free parking right across the road from the property. Nice and friendly neighbours and the the host is very attentive and helpful.Great location with 3 pubs close by which were all good and welcoming. There are two well stocked shops in the village and plenty of walks from the doorstep. We loved our time here and will be returning. Would highly recommend.Maria R.

A old cottage with a modern interior, very clean and well equipped. Welcome gifts were lovely. Ideally situated to visit Chatsworth, Bakewell and surrounding area. We would definitely stay again.
