Grand Traverse Shores Resort Condo East Bay

Beautiful river views with a short walk to East bay! Located on Traverse City`s beautiful East Bay we are minutes from Downtown Traverse City. Visit some of our award winning wineries or sit down and enjoy some fine crafted micro brews. You can enjoy relaxing in the sun on 600ft of sandy beach frontage. You can rent a kayak, jet skis, or paddle right off of our sandy beach. Friday and Saturday nights there is live music and S`mores at the fire pit.

The Shores at the Grand Traverse resort Shores Condo. The condo was recently remodeled from floor to ceiling. It has a brand new Carrera marble shower that will knock your socks off complete with three body sprays. All new flooring, paint and a brand new kitchen which is limited but great for small meals or to reheat leftovers and a folder of all my favorite places if you choose to eat out. The bedroom has a new king size bed with luxury sheets and pillows.
We have a balcony with amazing views of the river. Our unit is an end unit with the river flowing alongside and in front of the balcony so it is very private and beautiful. Follow the river a short walk to East Bay where there is 600’ of private sandy beach frontage.

Cozy little condo resort with nightly security and a shuttle bus to the Casino. Volleyball, water sport rentals and tiki bar right on the beach. A giant fire pit in the evenings to roast marshmallows.

Walking distance to the beach. There is a shuttle that will take you the Turtle Creek Casino or the Grand Traverse Resort. Uber and Lyft are now available.

Side note- I love my town and am very proud to have grown up playing on our beaches. I try my best to support everything local. I try and provide something local and unique for every guest, wether it be something delicious from the bakery, local eggs, or fresh squeezed O.J. All cleaning products used are eco friendly.

Nice condo in the woods with a creek

Nice little condo. Everything is as described. Door keypad was difficult to lock and unlock. 2nd floor so you have to carry luggage up staid, but only 1 flight.

Great location. Small but modern condo.

Aprille was pleasant and professional. The condo is modern and clean on the inside. The exterior is a bit dated. This particular unit is on the second floor so you need to use stairs to get to your condo. The building is the one closest to the road. You can’t see the traffic but you can hear it. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

Very nice summer getaway.

The location was perfect for our stay. It’s a very short and easy drive to downtown Traverse City for shopping and dining. The beach is just a minutes walk from a quiet upper corner condo that overlooks a stream. The unit itself was very clean and updated. It is quite small and I wouldn’t recommend it for more than a family of three. The extra toiletries were nice but I would recommend more towels- we had to run laundry a few times. The beach was lovely and clean with chairs to lay out. It’s quite shallow and I was never worried about kids playing. The water craft rental was open but the pool and little bar/cafe was closed due to staffing- which was not relayed to us (and part of the selling point for our trip). Besides that hiccup we had a really nice time 🙂

Perfect Northern Getaway

This space was so close to the lakefront. Minutes from downtown Traverse City and less than an hour from Sleeping Bear Dunes. The rental was secluded from neighbors and very modern. All the amenities from home but even better. Cannot wait til next year.

Great place and wonderful host

Sweet little space that is conveniently located to Traverse City. Only request I would have is for a few more kitchen utensils. You really can't cook there (no oven for example) which would have been desirable for us given the pandemic. Aprille was super accommodating and gracious. All in all, a nice stay!

Super cute little place

We had a great stay! The condo is immaculate, and the access to the beach is perfect with little kids. Close enough to downtown TC without being in all the people. Check in and communication was easy.

Amazing stay!

We really enjoyed our weekend getaway in this perfect condo. You can tell that it is recently renovated and very clean. It's a corner unit that overlooks the creek with a nice deck...perfect for morning coffee or a night cap. Aprille, the host, was responsive and so easy to get a hold of if we needed anything or had questions. We will be back for sure!

Nice get-away!

This condo was even more charming than the pics. Many extras by the owner; great towels, wonderful soaps, shampoo, conditioner and an amazing shower. The condo has a nice setting in the woods, and although the pool wasn't open and the beach not yet set-up (due to COVID) we truly enjoyed our stay.

This condo provides a peaceful setting, especially with the creek running next to the building. It is an easy drive to Traverse City, restaurants and golf.

Beautiful condo in Grand Traverse Resort

The condo was beautiful and equipped with what we needed for a quick weekend in Traverse City. It was a relaxing location, nestled away in the wooded resort grounds by a creek, which made our time relaxing on the balcony just great. We were able to make quick walks to the beachfront and pool, and when we wanted to drive into Traverse City or to Sleeping Bear Dunes, we were right along the highway to make that an easy route. Our only struggle was space. As a family of 4, it felt like we had suitcases and travel bags stacked in any free spot we could find. We also were not able to find a binder or folder with instructions for checkout, so hopefully we met expectations there. Aprille was great to work with leading up to our trip and answered any questions we had. Overall, great visit!

Obviously the space is adorable. The bedding was so comfortable. The pull out couch was the most comfortable we have ever slept on as well. It rained a lot the weekend we were there. But with the sliders open, you can listen to the creek. It was so relaxing.

Wonderful stay

We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful condo. Perfect for a family of four - nestled in the woods with a serene view of the creek. A quick walk to the beach and pool (and by quick I mean about a minute). The pool / hot tub is not pictured in the description but it’s nice and my kids enjoyed hoppong between the lake and pool. The sunsets are gorgeous and the beach is bigger than most of the TC hotel beaches. The condo is about a 10-15 drive to downtown TC. The condo itself is beautifully decorated, super clean and has a ton of amenities that make it feel like home. My kids thought it was very cozy, and settled in for moves at night. We would definitely rent here again. The owners are very responsive and quick to answer any questions.

Great place to relax!

The owners are very responsive to questions/concerns and have done a wonderful job updating this property. Their efforts to provide little extras to make our stay comfortable was appreciated. The beds were comfortable with good quality linens & towels which is lovely to find at a rental. The property has a relaxing and tranquil setting with great beach access to East Grand Traverse Bay. There's even a place for water sport rentals onsite.

Both my husband and I had the privilege of growing up on the beaches of up north Michigan. I left Traverse City for a few years to attend Grand Valley State University where I earned my Masters in Behavioral health. I worked as a therapist for a few years before we decided my time would be better spent with our kids. My husband works as a tile installer and also enjoys all Traverse City has to offer. As a family we enjoy Snowshoeing in the winter and hiking the Dunes in the summer. Traverse City is also a great place to snowmobile with hundreds of miles of trails right out our back door.

Why they chose this property

With 600' feet of sandy beach frontage, Acme Creek running along side you there is no better place to vacation. Our Condo is a private second floor corner unit with a balcony that overlooks Acme Creek where in the fall you can watch the salmon fighting to get upstream. We have peekaboo views of the bay that is less than a thirty second walk to the waters edge.

What makes this property unique

Our condo was just completely remodeled with new floors, bathroom and kitchen. Our bathroom will knock your socks off with its white marble, glass and three body sprays. I will provide high chairs and pack and plays upon request if you have any little ones:)
