About this property

At DuPont Forest - Newer cabin designed for relaxation and comfort.

Shoal Sound is located on DuPont Road with easy access to the miles of trails and breathtaking waterfalls of DuPont Forest. We are only 10 miles from downtown Brevard and Hendersonville. The cabin offers all you could need to relax or rest after a day of adventure. We have WIFI, Smart TV with local TV stream app, comfortable beds and a large porch to just sit and relax

Bedroom one has a king size bed with a comfortable mattress and linens, smart TV, Grandmas wardrobe closet, and an antique dresser. The ensuite bathroom is spacious and has a walk in shower.

Bedroom two has two twin beds with comfortable mattresses and linens. The second bathroom is just outside the door.

The living and dining area features a gas log fireplace, large entertainment center containing games, books, and a large smart TV.

The kitchen has all the features you would want and expect have to make your stay like being at home. All appliances are new - large refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, farm sink, granite counter tops, coffee maker, Keurig, and microwave. If something is missing, let us know, and we'll get it. We spared no expense to create a beautiful kitchen for you to enjoy.

The porch is sure to be a favorite of guests. Listen to the sound of Shoal Falls from the swing or rockers. (SHOAL FALLS ARE NOT ACCESSIBLE FROM CABIN) We even put a dining table on the porch for you to enjoy the surroundings. A small porch off the back has a small table and a park style charcoal grill.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
Leave mattress pad and pillows on bed. leave blankets, covers, coverlets in room. Place linens to the laundry room. Place towels, wash/dish cloths, bathmats in washing machine
Open curtains or blinds, that have been closed and move any furniture back to the original location.
Text owner when departed.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
We do not charge a cleaning fee, but we do expect the house to be left reasonably clean. We clean & sanitize the cabin for each guest.

The cabin was exactly has advertised, we loved our stay. Anything you think you may need while you’re there, it was there. Plenty of places close by to pick up dinner, we ate dinner on the porch every night. Jeter mountain farm was less then 10 minutes away and is a great place for apple picking.

The cabin is wonderful! It is a spacious home that was filled with all the amenities to make it comfortable and a great place to relax. Set in the woods, the scenery from the front porch is heavenly! I would absolutely stay there again and am already planning my next trip with my husband. The cabin is so clean and neat and it is close to all the apple orchards you could want to visit. A great place to vacation!!

A beautiful cabin, lovingly decorated in the middle of a quiet wooded area. The Corn's have thought of everything one might need! My favorite part was the porch with a swing for early morning coffee and afternoon naps. Connie was so thoughtful and allowed me to come a little early which was greatly appreciated. You will love this hideaway in the woods if you need some peace and quiet!

My husband and I brought our grandaughter to this incredible get-a-way cabin for her birthday! We LOVED everything about itWe spent an abundance of our time on the lovely,spacious porch-eating meals, playing games, reading while swinging or rocking-AND enjoying deer sightings! We slept great in the comfy beds after grilling our dinners each evening-we highly recommend a stay here-so close to the beautiful waterfall hikes we took and Carl Sandburg’s home and farm that we toured. WONDERFUL

We had an excellent stay at this cabin. It was clean and everything we needed was there! The host has thought of everything. It is very peaceful. And located so close to DuPont Forest and lots of waterfalls and hiking trails. We had almost every meal on the front porch!

Place was just as described. Close enough to everything to be convenient, but far enough away to be peaceful. Owner was very easy to work with and I would recommend this place to anyone staying in the area.

We are David and Connie Corn. We are Brevard, NC natives. We graduated from Brevard High School together and married soon after. Our first date was a walk to High Falls on the Dupont Property. We built our home near Dupont, and in 2008 moved a small cabin onto our property. When time and money allowed, we renovated it to become a vacation rental. This was in between school, college, weddings and grandkids. We hope you will enjoy staying in our little cabin, relaxing to the sound of Shoal Falls and will come again.
