Private guest cottage with kitchenette, living and dining area, bathroom and mountain viewing deck on first floor. Three bedrooms : one queen, one with two twins, and a third downstairs with a full bed. Additional queen futon in living area. Exceptional views of Denali, the peaks of the Alaska Range and the lush Susitna Valley from the private deck.
Private parking area in front of the cottage. Wifi, direct TV, complimentary coffee, tea, and condiments. Enjoy 20 acres of wooded boreal forest in this wilderness setting while being 5 miles from the Talkeetna townsite with restaurants, boat launch and scenic flight tour airport.

What a view! We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It has a beautiful view in the back. Check in was easy and communication with the owner was great. Cottage is in a good location not far from town.

Incredible views of the Mount McKinley mountain range

Popped in late for a quick overnight stay and we’re not at all disappointed. The views are spectacular and the accommodations are acceptable. I would recommend this property as more than satisfactory, especially for the price you pay.

Thanks for taking the time to review your stay Kristin. It was a pleasure to meet and host you both. Glad you found the cabin clean and comfortable. Though you don’t mention it, I recall we discussed the amazing mountain views the weather allowed during your stay. This of course is the defining feature of our location and property…none the less, I’ll address your comments about appliances. Regarding your feedback that you “would’ve liked a stove and oven” : the listing is clear that the cabin includes a small, galley style “kitchenette”. Also in the listing are the specific details regarding kitchen appliances provided ie. double electric burner stovetop unit and counter toaster/convection oven. When working with housekeeping, it was clear you used both. If you had wanted a full sized stove and oven, I’m sure there were lodging options that clearly provided that. Thanks for the additional feedback and for including our lodging in your AK plans.

We had such a wonderful time here! Our family all felt it was very nice. Not too far from town but far enough that you felt able to enjoy the wild. The host was amazing and so helpful for our stay. 10/10, will be staying here if we are ever back in the area! We saw a moose and her twins just down the road!

Excellent view of the mountains, really loved and used the deck. Cabin was clean and cozy. There was plenty of room for our group of 4. We were lucky enough to get a great view of Denali. Spent a day travelling to the national park, a bit of a drive but highly recommend that. Overall a nice place to stay.

We came there to rest between Seward and Denali and it was absolutely wonderful. Even tho there are tons of mosquitoes outside you also have a big window in the main bedroom to enjoy the view. Wendy was very accommodating, great host
