The property is in the forest but easily accessible. In driving distance of Denali and area around. It has nice view of Denali mountains. Host Brian was excellent in managing all the needs and communications. I definitely recommend this property.
Great property with TONS of character and views of the mountains. We slept 7 comfortably. Brian was easy to communicate with and gave us recommendations for things to do and see in Talkeetna.
The house is beautiful with a beautiful view of the mountains including Denali. It is conveniently located close to Talkeetna while being in a beautiful private setting. The only less than wonderful surprise was that washing of towels and bedding for other co-located houses was done in this house.

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
House smelled musty and like smoke when we arrived. House was not very clean. Carpet on the stairs was very dirty. Dust and cobwebs. Wifi did not work. The single beds in the bedrooms were pull out couches and not actual beds. Just very disappointing
House was clean and in good condition. The master bed room is great, with a balcony that has an excellent view of Denali. The other bedrooms were a little tight for our family group of 9, but are accurately described in listing. Beds were all comfortable. Living room is well laid out had had plenty of space. Kitchen was well stocked. This is an older home that is showing some wear, but furnishings are excellent and higher end than most rental properties. It's a little bit of drive out of Talkeetna (about 10 minutes). Roads are paved until the last mile, which is a rough dirt road.Owner communications were excellent. We were given detailed directions, but Google Maps worked fine. We would love to return if future travels bring us back to this area.
We had several issues with the property during our one night stay, including a potential gas leak and rotting boards on the deck that a member of our party fell through. We also suspect the property was not cleaned before our arrival. There was trash in waste baskets and dust and dirt. We turned the gas valve off and made due without hot water and other amenities. We were staying with 5 children and if you know the area you know there are few accommodation options for a larger party traveling through. We checked out as early as possible the next morning, well before the end of our allotted time.We repeatedly reached out to the host using the Vrbo app during our stay. He did not respond to any questions or concerns we had while on the property and we have yet to hear back from him several days after the end of the stay.Vrbo refuses to help with customer service on this issue even though we have provided photos of our chat and the areas of concern. We're both hosts and frequent travelers and have used both Vrbo and other platforms over the years. Vrbo hosts are consistently the least responsive and Vrbo customer and host service is terrible.

I'm sorry for you experiance we had a really wet spring and that made it hard for repairs before summer:(
We really loved our stay in this lovely home! Such a unique home, with lots of character! It was on a beautiful property and very close to the neat little downtown area of Talkeetna! Thank you for your hospitality!
We had a great time at the guesthouse. It is super close to the grocery store in Talkeetna as well as very close to the Talkeetna Air taxi for Glacier tour and has amazing view of Mount Denali! I will definitely be staying here again the next time I’m in Talkeetna. And yes we did find the moose!
Amazing! One person in our party exclaimed that it is the best VRBO that they have ever been in. We were blessed with two clear days for seeing the mountains. Super delightful VRBO!
