Alfama 4 is on the second floor (no lift) of an old building recently fully refurbished.
Renovation was complete and carefully accomplished: pre-existing old materials were incorporated with the new, adding personality to the apartment. Noble old wood as well as stone and iron elements stand out in graciously harmony. Decoration is sober in a modern rustic style with most features you would find in a recent apartment.
The apartment can accommodate with full comfort up to 6 people. It is composed of a large open space from the large living room and dinning area to the modern and very well equipped kitchen.
There are 3 separated bedrooms: one suite with private bathroom and a double bed (2 mattresses); a second bedroom with 2 single beds and a third with a bunk bed of 2 sinle beds.
A second full bathroom with a tub and a long exterior balcony complete the flat.

Alfama 4 is ideal for large families or groups of friends who want a quality very spacious apartment right in the centre of the most picturesque quarter of Lisbon.

We just had an amazing stay in Lisbon, this rental was perfect for our family with four daughters. Wonderful location in the city and owners were so responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Nicest European city apartment we’ve stayed in.

Great city base

Well equipped and very well positioned. Lots to see and do nearby, walking distance to most things. Easy to grab an Uber from the square at the end of the street; but very limited through-traffic on the street of the apartment itself which makes it very safe and quiet.

Location and size of the apartment.

The large apartment gave us, 2 couples, plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen is very modern and had everything we needed to cook, which we didn't because of all the wonderful restaurants close by. Location is great. Very nice place to stay in Lisbon.

Wonderful place to stay with convenience!

This is my second time staying here and we enjoyed all the amenities and location. We only wish for is a tv in the living room to entertain ourselves at night.

A holiday week with kids

Location of the property is superb in Alfama. Public transportation is nearby (buses, metro and train) not to mention local alleys and streets for strolling around by foot. Flat is beautiful and peaceful, located in very old building. Small mercados nearby on the same street. A bit bigger grocery store at Santa Apolonia train station. Everything was like what one can expect to have based on accommodation description. Communication worked very well with the landlord. Any open question was answered during the same day. Highly recommended for any Lisbon visitors.

Beautiful apartment close to everything

Apartment was perfect for our family of 5. Had two nice bathrooms and 3 spacious bedrooms. Super easy to check and out. So close to many small grocery stores and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

Great apartment for family of 4

Our family of four stayed here over the Chiristmas holidays and loved it. It is very spacious and as shown in the pictures. The location is excellent. We were able to walk to many sites and all public transportation was very close by (metro, buses, trains). The apartment was very quiet and the beds were comfortable so we always got a good night's sleep.

Living in Lisbon

As a 3 generation family we all enjoyed the space available with this apartment. The location was wonderful too. The only suggestion I might make is the need for a handrail for the stairs.

Lovely stay in Alfama

We really enjoyed our stay in Lisbon. This was our second time staying in Alfama so we were very familiar with everything in the area. It really felt like home! The area is amazing in terms of food options - just stepping out of the building you have so many options. The nearest supermarket is at the train station , which is a 5 mins walk. The apartment itself was great with enough room for all 5 of us. There is no AC but even in Joy we didn’t really feel like we needed it as the nights were cool and comfortable even with the windows closed. Finally, upon our arrival we were met by Rui and he was very accommodating as our arrival time was not precise due to traffic.

Eine wirklich perfekte Wohnung!

Diese Wohnung ist einfach perfekt. Sauber, geräumig, lässt einfach keine Wünsche offen. Die Küche ist extrem gut ausgestattet und zeigt keine großen Abnützungserscheinungen. Wir waren zu sechst hier und sind uns nie auf die Zehen getreten. Der Vermieter war sehr zuvorkommend und für alle Fragen immer erreichbar. Diese Wohnung kann man nur weiterempfehlen!

Beautiful flat, perfect location - possibility of smelly bathroom

Overall this rental was amazing: Communication was constant and easy - we had someone meet us at the flat to show us around and answer questions. The living/dining area was comfortable, spacious, light and I loved the multiple big doors and windows that opened onto the balcony. The newly reno'ed kitchen had everything we needed, including a dishwasher and washing machine. The bedrooms were an awesome size and we all slept well on good mattresses and good quality sheets. Everyone had loads of great hanging and storage room for clothes. The location was close to the Alfama district, so we could walk everywhere. It was also great to be able to tell taxi drivers to go to the Museu do Fado (well known landmark) and be just a few steps away from our flat. Right outside the door are two excellent restaurants. The flat also felt very safe, with a locked front door as well as the door to our flat. The ONLY reason I'm taking away one star is because of the ensuite bathroom smell. The first night there, I wasn't able to sleep in the primary bedroom because of the smell of sewage coming from the ensuite. The next day they sent someone to take care of it, and it was so much better. I hugely appreciated the housekeeping staff coming by to look after this for us on a Sunday. We were told that this is a seasonal tidal thing and beyond their control.

Mario, the PM,/Owner, was very helpful and communicative throughout the process. He was very accommodating, allowing for early check-in, and helping to secure an airport ride service. The apartment is located in a nice area, with lots of nice little shops, restaurants, etc. There is no elevator, and lot of steep/tight stairs, so be prepared for this. One of us that stayed here uses a cane, so it was a bit of a challenge, but we got by pretty well. Overall I would highly recommend this place and would certainly stay here again in the future.

Un appartement idéal en famille

Idéalement placé dans une jolie rue d’Alfama. Calme. L’appartement est très propre et parfaitement équipé avec tous les petits plus : machine à café à capsule, torchons, sac poubelles, gel douche, sèche cheveux… Lumineux avec des fenêtres sur 3 côtés de l’immeuble. Pas de télé… et c’est très bien ainsi. Le wifi est performant. Nous étions 2 parents, 4 enfants et adolescents. Et en bonus un super restaurant (Solar 31 Alfama) a 10m de l’entrée. Mario est lui aussi parfait pour les contacts avant l’arrivée et l’accueil.

Un très joli appartement dans le quartier d'Alfama, à un quart d'heure à pied du centre ville.

Dans un ancienne maison de 3 étages, l'appartement est magnifique et spacieux, bien éclairé, équipé pour vivre comme à la maison. Aucun bruit de voisinage n'a troublé les 3 nuits de notre location (carnaval février 2020). On trouve tout le nécessaire alimentaire dans plusieurs petits commerces, dans la rue ou les rues voisines. Un arrêt de bus est à moins de 5 minutes à pied, un arrêt du tram 28 à 5 min, le métro à moins de 10 minutes. En bref, je recommande chaudement cette location.

très belle semaine

Nous avons passé une semaine dans cet appartement très convivial. Il est très lumineux, très bien équipé et placé en plein coeur d'Alfama. Coté transport la gare Santa Appolonia est très proche et l'accès au métro et au bus est facile. Il y a un parking au niveau du terminal croisière qui permet de laisser la voiture de location pour 12€ les 24h Petit plus agréable de l'appartement, le ménage a été fait en milieu de semaine et serviettes/draps ont été changés Merci à Mario pour l'accueil!

Excellent location

This was our second time booking this apartment. We love the rustic details in the architecture and the modern amenities provided. The location is excellent in the Alfama district of Lisbon. The location is close to transit although we love to walk and explore the narrow streets. Mario was excellent and arranged for transportation to and from the airport. We highly recommend this apartment and location We were 4 adults and a toddler.
