Welcome to the Sandcastle Cottage ~ A quaint, family-owned and operated beach cottage for nearly a decade. Well maintained with all the amenities- this home-away-from-home will engulf you in fun and relaxation in no time. Sparing no lack of detail, you will find all that you need to enjoy your holiday at the beach. With plenty of activities- we are just a short walk to the gorgeous powder white sands and emerald green waters of our private beach (2 chairs and an umbrella set-up included with your rental (from March through October), 2 pools and a hot tub within the gated community and plenty of local live entertainment. We will provide all that you need to kick back and enjoy your time in paradise.

Cozy Beach House

Our family enjoyed our stay in this cozy little beach house. The location was fabulous. Beach was easy to access. Host is responsive and does a fantastic job keeping home clean and stocked with all of the necessities plus some. We have visited this area for over 15 years and this home is now one of our new favorites. Looking forward to future trips!

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. Everything was as described, and it was well stocked with everything we needed. Great location and easy walk to beach. Great Thanksgiving Stay

This house was great for our family holidays. Pet friendly and had everything you would need for a beach trip. Enjoyed the space as well as the amenities for this location The pool was heated and the hot tub was nice for our November stay. It’s close to everything and the beach access was awesome too! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful summer vacation!

Family vacation

Absolutely loved staying here. The house was nice and the owner made sure there were extras available (toothbrushes, Q-Tips, soaps, etc.) in case you forgot something. The walk to the beach was not bad at all. Perfect week!!

Perfect spring break spot!

We really enjoyed this comfortable home. The houses on the street are close together, yet it was very quiet and peaceful around us. We chose to drive when going to the beach, just because of the stuff we like to bring along with us. Happy times for our family including our 13 years old dog!

Thanksgiving 2024

We decided to come to the beach for the Thanksgiving holiday, our family of four plus fur baby found this gem, we love the Miramar Beach area and Maravilla is our favorite . They thought of everything. Host was Very accommodating. Gated, Perfect location, amenities, beach, shopping. This was a PERFECT best priced HOME for a family trip to a resort destination. Cozy home and vacation community in an excellent location

We were excited that when we arrived that the home exceeded out expectations. The house is lovely; the hosts were exceptional and it was so nice to bring our four legged kids with us for a change. The community is perfectly located between 98 and the beach, within walking distance to a private beach and a short drive to groceries, entertainment and restaurants galore. Very memorable stay

My family had such a great time staying at this property. Like many of the reviews say, the host was very friendly and there are so many generous amenities. The Maravilla resort amenities are not all that... the pool is smaller with no shade and the workout facility is underwhelming. The property, itself is also in need of some updates - fresh paint and better lighting. The location is great and it's so nice to know you will have a spot reserved on the beach. All in all we had a great time!

Repeat Sandcastle Vaca'rs

Our second booking at the Charming Sandcastle Cottage did not disappoint. As before, check-in went smoothly, kitchen stocked with basic start ups, as well as extra paper good necessities left behind from prior guest. Super clean, which is #1 on my list, with cleaning supplies available if you feel the need to tidy up. Comfy beds, nice open family room to spread out and enjoy movie or family games. There's a nice patio set if you want to chill outback, as well as propane grill(always good to check the tank before you shop for those steaks and burgers).Very kid and pet friendly home. Jessica, the property manager was amazing. Responded quickly to our txt messages, took care of any issues we experienced, and respected our family time. Looking forward to our next family trip to Miramar and stay at the Sandcastle Cottage!

Born on the East Coast and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, where I still reside with my husband, daughter, our three dogs and a spicy little cat.
I also have two "big kids". One is a Junior at Marquette University in Milwaukee and one a Sophomore at Illinois State University.

We enjoy spending time at our beach cottage when we can, and love being able to share it with others! When we can't be at the beach, you can catch us at a record shop, at a concert, cooking meals for family and friends or reading a great book.

I love interacting with my guests, and ensuring that everything is top notch for their stay. I am always reachable - day or night!

Why they chose this property

My family has been vacationing in the Destin area since the 1980's, when my grandparents would come down as "snowbirds" from Vermont. This beach holds a special place in my heart, and as I continue the family tradition, I will take pride in making sure that each and every guest returns year after year to enjoy all that the Emerald Coast has to offer! We LOVE Destin! :)

What makes this property unique

If you ask my guests, I would say that the answer would be that we provide all the comforts of home. We don't want you to worry about whether or not you remembered paper plates, or ziplock baggies. Bringing home doggie bags from a great meal? We have you covered with plenty of storage containers. Forgot your sunscreen? We have that, too! Need to throw in a load of laundry? We'll be sure to stock the detergent. You name it, we've thought of it. And we wouldn't have it any other way! This is your home while you're here!
