No phone line or cable TV. Unhook from the world. Verizon T Mobile is the only carrier that usually works at the cabin. Beautiful log cabin nestled in the trees outside of Hampton, TN but also right off a main highway so it is accessible year round. This is a great place to relax and unwind. There is golfing, boating, fishing, hunting, whitewater rafting, hiking and snow skiing all within short drive (close to Boone, NC., Roan Mountain State Park, Watauga Lake and River). The porch looks out onto a beautiful creek. The cabin is fully furnished and amenities provided are central heat and air, washer and dryer, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, linens and towels, cookware, coffee maker and microwave. Sorry no smoking or pets allowed.

This cabin is pristine to say the least..
It was easy to find and extremely well decorated. As well as incredibly well stocked with everything that you would need to stay for a extended period of time..
The stream on the back side was so therapeutic and such a welcomed relief to enjoy...
Please don't hesitate to rent this cabin any time of the year..I'm giving this VRBO cabin at least 10 stars..
We recently enjoyed a wonderful family trip through the Smoky Mountain Appalachian Reservation. As well as Roan Mountain in Tennessee and Grandfather Mountain, Sugar and Beech Mountain in North Carolina to enjoy nature and connect with it. Having had the opportunity to stay in this cabin next to the river was special and allowed us to connect with nature. The property is well maintained, with all needs covered, good heat, hot water, clean, about 10 minutes from Roan community and about 30 minutes from Banner Elk, North Carolina. The owners always responded quickly, with clear instructions and cordially to our concerns during the reservation. I really recommend this property for all those lovers of nature who want to escape from the activity of the cities. Thank you John and Tara for allowing us to enjoy your cabin for these days.
we had a wonderful time, stayed due to going to NASCAR - the cabin is beautiful and right beside a flowing creek, however the couch was broke, the toaster burnt the toast (even turning it down) and there was no working tv- these need replaced and its a wonderful place to stay
The cabin was spacious, yet cozy. We enjoyed hearing the river while we slept. We had a little trouble with the thermostat kicking off at random, but once we figured that out, it was great. We'd stay here again for sure!
Upon entering simply amazed at the amenities and simple design. The stream and roosters were all the sounds we came for! Location was perfect to celebrate our Thanksgiving meal with family!
We really enjoyed this location. We knew there was no Wi-Fi but were surprised when we did not have cell service. Was a nice getaway and we look forward to coming back next year.
We had a greay stay at the cabin! It was a cozy cabin that had all the amenities we needed. Would highly recommended if you're looking for a nice getaway that is close-by to a lot of hiking/recreation hotspots.
Immaculately clean creekside cabin with beautiful wood craftsmanship. Close to many area natural attractions and outdoor opportunities. Huge porch is perfect for reading and relaxing to the sounds of stream.
Check in couldn't have been easier and hosts readily available. We will be back.
Everything was great and just as described. The creek was serene and peaceful, the house was cozy and quiet, and we hiked Grandfather Mountain and Roan Mountain and had beautiful weather.
Very nice little place. Clean and comfortable for a short stay. One important note, there was no cell service or WiFi in the area. If you’re looking for a cost effective place off of the beaten path, look no more.
Me and my husband have been going there for several years and we love the location and the price. The cabin is very well cozy, and we enjoyed the river that is on! Owner is very nice! Overall, very satisfied!!💯👍
The cabin was easy to find, clean, comfy & well-stocked. It is close to a lot of trails & attractions, but secluded enough that you feel away from it all. All in all, a great place at a great price!
So serene
So wonderful
This HOME had the perfect amount of space (we never went upstairs), location, ambience, floor plan, washer dryer, completely well appointed. The sounds to sleep to was so relaxing. Negative? No phone, internet, afraid the bed would collapse
