A few km from the City of Carcassonne & the Canal du Midi, two sites classified as World Heritage by UNESCO, the cottage "Au fil de l'eau", a charming cottage from the 17th century and completely renovated welcomes you in a enchanting setting!
Located at the entrance to Montolieu, a typical book village & on the banks of the river, this character cottage is composed of a living/dining room with fireplace & convertible sofa, a fully equipped kitchen with a stone vault carved and a large bay window on a sunny terrace of 30m2 with a magnificent view of the river and the garden.
2 double bedrooms (1m60 bed & 1m40 bed), bathroom with authentic bathtub & Italian shower & WC.
Free WIFI connection, barbecue on the terrace, petanque balls. Trout fishing possible on site.
Municipal swimming pool & tennis at 1km.

Nice location by the river

Great hosts - house was clean and well equipped- close enough to the village to be able to walk to the restaurants (and down hill on the way back ) plenty to see and do (and lots of suggestions from the owners) - would like to return

Nous avons passé de belles vacances dans ce gite. Les propriétaires habitent juste à coté mais savent etre discrets. La location est bien pourvue, la piscine agréable par temps chaud. Il y a beaucoup de choses à faire dans les environs. Nous avons apprecié les balades en foret, la visite de carcassonne, les nombreux commerces de livres d'occasion... Nous n'avons pas ou tout faire!

Séjour en famille

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans ce gîte où nous avons pu profiter de la terrasse, les enfants de la piscine, et le toutou de la rivière ! Montolieu est un petit village tranquille avec les commerces nécessaires. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Sabine.

Location atypique avec beaucoup de charme, et idéalement située pour visiter le secteur de Carcassonne. Nous avons aimé profiter de la grande terrasse protégée avec vue sur la rivière. La propriétaire est très accueillante et disponible.

Hervorragender Ausgangspunkt

Die Wohnung ist ein hervorragender Ausgangspunkt um die Region von Narbonne bis Toulouse zu erkunden. Die Vermieter sind sehr hilfsbereit und geben gute Tipps. Montolieu selbst ist ein wunderschöner Ort, fußläufig erreichbar mit netten Restaurants und Buchläden. Die Wohnung hat einen sehr schönen Charme und eine herrliche Terrasse. Abkühlen kann man sich im neu gebauten Pool. Wir haben eine unvergessliche Woche dort verlebt.

Séjour très agréable

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans le charmant village de Montolieu, connu pour ses librairies mais également pourvu de tout le nécessaire pour passer de bonnes vacances et de petits restaurants forts sympathiques. C’est un bon lieu de départ pour explorer la région : s’il y a trop de chaleur, il y a la montagne noire plus fraîche et ses lacs où l’on peut se baigner, ou bien il est possible de rejoindre Carcassonne et les bords du canal du midi. La location possédait une terrasse très agréable donnant sur la rivière. Les propriétaires habitent à côté et sont très serviables sans être trop présents. Pendant notre séjour il y a eu des travaux sur la route devant la maison et ils ont eu un très gentil geste pour s’en excuser.

Originell und naturverbunden

Geschichtsträchtige Wohnung ( ehemaliges Stadttor ) über drei Stockwerke. Sehr schön und originell, absolut alles vorhanden. Die grosse gegen den rauschenden Bach ausgerichtete Terrasse ist genial. Die Vermieter wohnen im gleichen Gebäude und sind sehr hilfreich und nett. Für Liebhaber des altehrwürdigen Citröen 2CV ist hier die richtige Adresse ( die Vermieter haben mindestens 7 davon, die man mieten kann ).

Ferien am rauschenden Bach

Das Haus ist so schön, wie es die Fotos versprechen. Der rauschende Bach ist ein Erlebnis. Sabine und Bart sind sehr aufmerksame und unkomplizierte Gastgeber. Das Dorf ist wunderhübsch- ein schöner Ort zum Entspannen.

Location très agréable

Très accueillant et très cosy. On s'y sent immédiatement très bien. L'appartement est très bien équipé. Situé dans un super petit village et à proximité de très beaux lieux de visites. Un régal!
