About this property
Fun Family Wolfeboro Winnipesaukee Bay Waterfront with SUP, 5 Kayaks & 2 Canoes
Charming Wolfeboro Winnipesaukee waterfront cottage in the heart of antique boat land - as seen in the UK Guardian newspaper. Direct access to main lake via Wolfeboro bridge. In the summer watch the gorgeous wooden boats cruise by or the Wolfeboro water ski team jump and slalom in our Back Bay. Our deck overlooks the waterway that leads out to main lake so its fun watching the various types of water-craft. Wolfeboro center is 5 minute walk or 2 minutes food shopping by boat. We often kayak over for groceries and tie up at the Back Bay docks close to the shops. Enjoy an evening cruise by boat to one of 3 local restaurants that have docks. Dock for up to 20ft boat and use of small sail boat. New for this season one of the new fun paddle boards! Give it a try, maybe even take a paddle board yoga class that runs daily by the town docks in the summer. 5 very nice kayaks & 2 canoes are included for you to use. We also have a paddle boat and for those who know how to sail , a Sunfish sail boat! Great fishing, lots of fun for kids.
If you are planning to bring or rent a boat, it will need to be able to pass under the bridge to our bay to have access to our dock. Goodhue Hawkins is the only rental Marina in Wolfeboro and if 5 minutes by car. You can keep the boat at their dock if it won't fit to access ours. Easy launching ramp and trailer parking close by. If you have any questions regarding the boat you'd like to bring or one you'd like to rent, please ask before instant booking. We own a 20ft Four Winns Bowrider and we clear easily.
Lovely green lawn down to the lake front with great fire pit for evening campfires. Space enough for tent if desired. Wonderful bike path that leads to beach and tennis courts just across the bay. Choice of 3 local beaches and we include two passes on our notice board for you to access and park at all three of them.
In the Fall from Thanksgiving through the Winter the private 4 person hot tub is open for use. In Winter snowmobile or cross country ski right from the front door. Skiing and fabulous outlet shopping 45 minutes in North Conway.

The weather was perfect! Cool nights & warm days! Our favorite adventures during our stay were seeing the beaver in the early morning by the lakeside; catching lots of fish; kayaking; roasting marshmallows on the camp fire at night; swimming and of course just relaxing in the swing on the porch! The location is great; walking distance to town. With all the fun things to do right here at the cottage and the bay, we didn't have to leave! We'd love to return again!

The weather was fantastic! Sunny and warm for all but two of our days. Our favorite adventures during our stay were our daily walks into town and the walking trail around the bay. The outdoor shower - absolutely wonderful!! We even checked out the Hospital Aid Fair on Saturday. Several of us also drove to Lincoln NH for the Alpine Sip Line adventure - great fun! Oh, and not to forget the round of golf at Kingswood golf course down the street. We enjoyed eating at the Wolfetrap after reading all the positive reviews from other guests in the cottage guest book. We really had a great week - and particularly enjoyed the KUBB game we found on the porch. Great for fun in the afternoon after a swim. Albee Beach on Lake Wentworth was another great excursion - especially for the children!

So happy you had a wonderful stay! Our favorite family spot, on the water and such great location for walking into town to dine! The best! 😍🌺
We had a lovely time. Very quiet, beautiful view home was very clean and up to date. Outdoor shower was wonderful. Our dog was very happy with space to run. Many great restaurants, and food options, all within walking distance ! Owners were a pleasure to work with..
The cottage is well maintained and was just perfect for our family! All adults in our group. Plenty to do on the property! The location on the water and proximity to town cannot be beat!!! Cannot say enough about the inside of the cottage and the outside property. Hopefully we will be spending many years renting from Dee!!
It’s a great location, a very quick walk to down town! Leave the car and enjoy the walk along the back. 5 minutes and you are there! Maybe stop for a drink at the Wolfetrap or the BackBay Boathouse! Great options! 😍
The location is ideal if you want to enjoy the lake and be walking distance to Wolfeboro shops and restaurants. The steps to the second floor are very steep, but family members with medical issues or disabilities have the option of staying in the first floor bedroom. The full bathroom, living room and kitchen are also on the first floor. The first floor is two steps up from the driveway.
We enjoyed this property so much especially having paddle boards, canoes and kayaks available to explore the beautiful lake. The view from the house was wonderful. Communication with the owner was seamless.
We had so much fun at this happy home, which checked all the boxes for us. The priorities for myself and my two kids (13 & 11) were to have easy access to the water (which couldn't have been more perfect...there was every watercraft imaginable there, along with a nice dock, as well as a swim dock), close proximity to town (the three of us biked - and paddled - into town multiple times a day), and a nice yard to run around, playing wiffle ball and other games. The very extensive rail trail is right across the bay as well for walking/biking, along with a park with tennis, basketball etc. Thanks so much to Dee for hosting a memorable week for us, and a much needed getaway from the rat race!
The house was as described, very clean, nicely decorated, great location - walking distance to town, yet very private and peaceful. Loved having the boats and access to the water. Owner was very communicative and pleasant to deal with. Would love to stay again sometime.
We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.
Cottage was so cute, well equipped and comfortable and owner was super helpful and nice. Amazing location! Walking distance to everything.
We hope to come again in the future!

Great vacation
A fabulous spot for an outdoors holiday. We had great weather and spent most of the week in the water and kayaking. Was great to have access to the boats. A few day trips too - walking along the old railway trail to different beaches and up Mount Major. Would definitely recommend for a family holiday.

Such glorious weather and the Cotton Valley bike trail is wonderful! It passes by two beaches! We take our back packs with towels and enjoy a great ride and a quick swim and then ride home again! Great exercise and what scenic views along the trail side of Lake Wentworth!
Its a quiet and quaint little town. The house is nice, but it gets very warm and stuffy.

Wolfeboro is a vibrant New Hampshire town known as the first American vacation resort town! A summer destination we have loved since we first visited and bought our house in 2005. Michelle and her family stayed at our home during the hottest week of the summer. The house is equipped with 4 air conditioning units. There is also a whole house air exchange attic fan which we found had been turned off during their stay, probably accidentally. Had it have been turned on it would really have helped. We have highlighted this in our arrival information for future guests.
My family had a wonderful experience with this rental. Walking distance to Main street shops and restaurants. Boat dock next door for rentals. full amenities with the home. Kayaks and swim platform in lake, and fire pit for S'mores were so much fun.
My husband, 3 year old daughter and I enjoyed our stay! The house is in close distance to many shops and restaurants. Unfortunately our boat couldn’t fit under the bridge through Back Bay but Dee made us aware of that possibility before we came.

Glad you had a great stay, and yes the close to town location is great! The beach access is nice and easy for everyone. Three bedrooms in our house, only two are on the second level. so if stairs are not for you, the main level bedroom is just perfect!
PERFECT location, beautiful view, big/nice yard, and lots of things to do. Owner communicates quickly and effectively. You will not be disappointed!

Great property right on the lake with very helpful owners
Our family had a very relaxing stay. The house is very cute and clean and located right on the lake. It is also walking distance to the downtown shops and restaurants. Dee, the owner, is very responsive with any questions. Our family is already looking forward to our next visit. Thanks Dee!!!

Thank you Kevin for the ***** and wonderful to hear that you and your family enjoyed our home and the associated amenities! Thank you for already booking your return trip! Plenty to keep you entertained with the 5 kayaks, 2 canoes and the paddle board! Hope you enjoyed some s'mores around the campfire too!
We were thrilled with the house - perfect for a few of us even with some rainy days. But when the sun came out then it really became transcendent. We loved swimming and kayaking and walking into town! Thank you so much for the easy check in and communication as well. We’d love to come back!!
This was the quintessential summer getaway! Kayaks, canoes, paddle boat, and games all kept everyone happy. Walk or boat to town docks for lots of things to do or just hang out in the spectacular backyard which is located on the bay! Super clean home with everything you need to make fabulous memories.
Great trip with my adult children and their husbands!
We had a wonderful time at this adorable lake house! Dee, the owner, had something for everyone. The beds were comfortable, lots of windows for fresh air plus air conditioners if you get hot! We loved sitting by the water. We all used kayaks and the paddle boats. Lots of hiking opportunities in the area too! The house was definitely walking distance to the cute downtown with lots of restaurants, ice cream
Shops, coffee shops, and bars. We all didn’t want to leave!
It’s a great little cottage ! The kayaks and canoes were accessible to use. But, swimming was somewhat of a challenge - the dock was not accessible due to the excessive rain .
We did go to Albee Beach with the beach passes that the owner provides .
It’s a cute little town and accessible by walking - fun stores and great lobster rolls at Marker 21!
Overall a fun, relaxing trip!

Glad you had a great time and loved our cottage and the location. Sorry but we had no control over the weather causing high water levels at the dock. One week later and it was back to normal. :)
About the host
Hosted by Dee & Jason Truluck-Williams
We fell in love with Lake Winnipesaukee during our first trip many years ago! Each year we would rent a home on the lake and our two boys enjoyed all their childhoods summers there. In 2007 while docking in Wolfeboro for an ice cream, a 'For Sale' sign caught our interest and we were sold! We spent 3 years making it feel like home and now enjoy sharing the dreamy summer days and nights with our guests! So many memories, come make some of your own!
Why they chose this property
Cute, waterfront, private and 5 minutes walk to the town center! What could be more perfect, no car required! Canoe to the public dock, tie up and go grocery shopping! What could be more fun! Maybe getting an ice cream instead!!!
What makes this property unique
Swinging in the hammock, watching and listening to friends and family laughing and joking around the campfire! Nothing better! Also interesting to note that the ski jump that is anchored on the far side of the bay is the Tony the Tiger ski jump used in the filming of the Frosted Flakes TV advertisement that many of us grew up with!
