About this property

Large family house in the heart of Veules-les-roses 10min walk from the beach

Hello and thank you for your interest in our family home to spend your holidays in Veules-les-roses.
I am pleased to reactivate our ad after a year 2022 without rentals.

My name is Cécile, I am your internet contact for the rental of our family home built in the 1950s by my great grandfather.
If you choose to come and stay in our house, it is my mother, Marie-Pierre, who will be happy to welcome you to give you the keys and show you how the house works.

Veules-les-roses is a charming family village (recognized among the most beautiful villages in France) where it is good to stroll along the course of the Veules, the smallest river in France, to discover its source, the watercress, the trough and watermills along its route to its mouth.

You will find many shops in the village (groceries, butcher, bakery-pastry shop, restaurants including a gourmet one, tea rooms, a post office, a mechanic-gas station attendant, a tobacconist-press, a hairdresser, a nurseryman, clothing stores and souvenirs, the tourist office, a doctor's office, a nursing office, a pharmacy, etc.).
You will also find a nautical club, a cinema, summer events and exhibitions, a tennis court where you can participate in tournaments or take lessons from an early age, several GR for hiking in the area.
On Wednesday morning there is a large fairground market in the heart of the village.
At the beach, swimming is supervised during the summer.
A playground is available on the seafront for young children.
You will find excellent Veula oysters and fresh fish on the seafront for sale on Saturdays and Sundays in low season and during the week during the summer.

We suggest you stay in our family home located in the central street of Veules-les-roses, 10min walk from the beach; when we are not in it.
It is not modern or completely renovated, but you will find all the comforts to spend good times with family or friends.

The most of our house: the Veules passes through the garden and a few ducks sometimes take up residence there!

The 150m2 house is made up on the ground floor:
_an equipped kitchen,
_a living room with a _decorative fireplace and an old piano,
_a large dining room,
_ a storage room (where household products are kept safe),
a separate toilet.

You will find in the kitchen:
_a mixed gas cooker,
_a refrigerator with a freezer compartment,
_a dishwasher,
_a washing machine,
_a filter coffee maker,
_a nespresso coffee maker,
_a microwave,
_a toaster,
_kettle,
_ basic products (oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, sugar).

On the 1st floor:
_1 large bedroom with 1 double bed 140/190, 1 large Norman wardrobe, 1 loveseat and a balcony to which access is only authorized to open and close the shutters (caution: the balustrade is damaged)
_1 small bedroom with 1 single bed 90/190 and 1 small chest of drawers,
_1 bedroom with 2 single beds 90/190 and a large wardrobe,
_1 separate toilet,
_1 large bathroom with a bath, 1 children's bath, 1 space for changing babies.

*If you are more than 6 or 7, it is possible to rent 1 other large bedroom with 1 double bed 140/190, 1 chest of drawers, 1 desk and 1 washbasin for 30€ more per night (see photos)

The house is maintained and clean, has central heating and double glazed windows.
*NB: We are starting to renovate the house, but some of the bedroom wallpapers are damaged in places, the kitchen is old but functional, the balustrade of the master bedroom balcony is rusty. The rental price depends on the progress of the renovations.

Enjoy the large garden by relaxing in a deckchair to the sound of water, sharing a charcoal barbecue on the terrace or playing with the indoor or outdoor games at your disposal.

To enjoy the southern exploded garden, you will have at your disposal deckchairs, parasols, tables and chairs.
For your safety and that of the children, access to the river and the bridge spanning it are prohibited and secured by a barrier.

You can park up to 4 cars behind the house.
In the village there are some free parking spaces which are very popular in summer. The house being located in the main street 250m from the center and 10 min walk from the beach, you can get around on foot without difficulty.
Unfortunately there is no wifi in the house but you will receive most telephone operators on 3G or 4G.

For each bed, you will have pillows, duvets and blankets available but sheets and towels are not provided.

The flat rate for exit cleaning is €60.
*If the house requires less than 3 hours of cleaning, I will reimburse part of the cleaning fee.

Departure before 11 a.m. and arrival from 3 p.m.
Tourist taxes in addition to the price per night are collected by Abritel.

I have prepared a welcome booklet for you with all the activities in the region.
Do not hesitate to send me an email to ask me questions.
I will answer you with pleasure as soon as possible.

I hope you will have as good a holiday as we did in our house.

See you soon.

Cecile
