Enjoy beautiful sunsets overlooking Georgian Bay from the large deck. This 4-bedroom home is available throughout the year.
The property is in the heart of historic Huronia and conveniently located on a quiet, woodland property less than 3 kilometres from downtown Penetanguishene.
Within walking distance is Huronia Park which provides a sand beach for swimming.
The main living area is open concept, comfortable for a vacation with extended family or friends. Upper level hallway looks down over main living area and may not be safe for very young children.

We had the most wonderful stay here. The home was beautiful and a perfect getaway for my family. The view of the water was so lovely. The area was quiet and also close by to any necessities. We were also lucky to have perfect weather for our vacation. We hope to rent again next summer!

Perfect Vacation Spot

Harbour House was exactly what we were looking for for our stay in Penetanguishene. It was large, had a great outdoor space and was very clean and comfortable. I wish we could have stayed longer!

A great place to stay.

This is in a beautiful, quiet setting with a short walk to a paved path. The home is well kept and well stocked. We highly recommend Harbour House.

Wonderful stay

The front entrance was a little overgrown from the garden, but ither then that it was better then we expected. The home was just a few blocks from my relative so very handy location. I surely will recommend this place to family and friends

Our stay at Harbor House was perfect. The house was equipped with everything our family needed. The setting is beautiful, quiet and restful, but convenient to all the attractions of Penetanguishene. It is a short and and pleasant walk to Discovery Harbor, the theatre, municipal parks, and swimming beaches. Beautiful rail trails and waterfront trails are easy to ride starting from the house. Lesley, our host, could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Thank you so much for a wonderful getaway.

We had a great time at Harbour House. The view of Discovery Harbour was nice; unfortunately, it was closed while we were there. The twin beds in the upper level were uncomfortable for an adult. The other beds were comfortable.

Large chalet in a beautiful location

Plenty of room for two families and a large outside area for kids to play or walk over to Discovery Harbour in just a few minutes. The cottage has 4 bedrooms with very comfortable sleeping arrangements. The kitchen is well equipped. There is a gorgeous view that you can look at all day. Highly recommended and we would love to come back!

High quality in a quiet location

Harbour House is very clean and has an excellent selection of quality supplies. The property overlooks Discover Harbour and is within walking distance of the Discovery Harbour site. Keep in mind it closes for the season on Labour Day. The communication with the host was good and the welcome wine and chocolate was appreciated. The property is within 15 minutes of all the historic sites in the Penetanguishine/ Midland area. The property has a huge deck with a nice view and is in a very quiet wooded area.

Family boating trip

We stayed in Penetanguishene in June 2023. There were 6 ppl in our group. Harbor House is very spacious, it would easily accommodate 1 more couple. Location of this house is very good with a nice view of the Discovery Harbor. It is very close, few min by car to Penetanguishene and Midland shopping and restaurants. We brought our boat with us- the boat launch is 5 min drive away. We would definitely want to rent this house if we return to this area in the future.

Nice. The view was beautiful. Plenty of emenities. The house clean just towels left behind. Since house keeper had emergency. We did not put out recycling because there was a full one already in garage. And no bungee cords for it. We had a lovely stay and would like to come again

Comfortable, spacious home with a magnificent view.

My friends (3 adult women) and I loved staying at this home. Our host went out of her way to make our stay more enjoyable - left the outside lights on when we arrived in the dark and inside the home, provided extra towels and well stocked bathrooms with shampoo & soap. The house was spotless and the kitchen was well equipped for our evening meals. The view of the harbor was relaxing and the house itself feels very private in a secluded lot surrounded by trees. If we get the chance to return to Midland, we would definitely stay here again.

Girls' get away

We had such a great stay at this cottage, well a home on the bay. It has been an annual tradition with this group for 35 years. There were 6 of us and the 4 bedrooms accommodated us nicely, we all loved the bedding and the beds were comfy. The kitchen and dining area was extremely well equipped and the bathrooms were nice and modern. It was nice to have use of the shower on the upper and lower level. The deck and surrounding property were perfect for our geriatric olympics and we also took an afternoon and explored Penetanguishene and Midland. Would love to return and continue to explore the area. Thanks for a wonderful girls' weekend get-away. Etta & the Cottage Girls.

We loved the cottage! It was very clean, spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. It had a fresh and welcoming atmosphere. Beautiful property with so many thoughtful touches. The huge deck has an amazing view of the Georgian Bay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to come back again!

Spacious, well equiped, family cottage

This cottage checked all the boxes. Quiet, clean, fully stocked, great swimming spot, large family size deck, with an amazing Bay view, for meals, relaxing, games etc. A short walk to Discovery Harbour, a great spot for brunch. We would definitely go back.

Great cottage, convenient location.

It was ours first time to rent a cottage and our experience was above our expectations. The cottage is big and very clean. It is very conveniently located next to the lake. Perfect for a getaway to a quite and relaxing place.

Great location for Discovery Harbour visits

We found this location to be better than we expected. A short drive to Penetanguishine downtown area, and an even shorter walk than we expected to the Discovery harbour area. The 4 bedrooms were perfect for our two families with young kids.

Excellent location

This property is extremely well positioned in a woodland setting with a water view and steps from historic Discovery Harbour. It is also very close to local parks and beaches, shopping and entertainment. The house itself is comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return next year.

Girls trip generally good!

We enjoyed the location and wonderful deck and view. The drive to Wasaga beach was easy and groceries were convenient. We were surprised by the interior security cameras but were able to speak to Lindsey and felt more at ease. Beds could use upgrading. Thanks so much- we enjoyed our stay and the local ghost walk!!!!

We are glad that you enjoyed the property. Just a response to the bed situation. The queen bed and a pair of twin beds were purchased this year and are well known brands. The other pair of twin beds have antique, spindle frames but box springs and mattresses were purchased two years ago and used infrequently only by our our personal guests. The double bed box spring and mattress is older and will shortly be upgraded. All bedding is new.
