About the host
Hosted by Katie Sloan
Hi I'm Katie. My husband and I moved from Portland, Oregon to Colorado Springs a few years ago with our dog Stella, and our two cats Fiona and Puma. We love the sun and being so close to Garden of the Gods. We're travelers at heart, and both work remotely, so we're able to see more of the people and places we love. We love designing and creating comfortable, unique spaces.
Why they chose this property
We bought this property as our forever home, it was a definite fixer. We put a ton of love and care into this house and made it a super magical place. It has such a good vibe and we are excited to share it with others. Our plans evolved and now we are living less than a mile away in another fixer, but our heart belongs to our 100 year old bungalow! We think you'l love it and have tried to think of everything you'd need to enjoy your stay.
What makes this property unique
A special note about COVID-19 — as a host, your health and safety is my number one priority. We have always, and will continue to clean our home thoroughly with guests comfort and health in mind.
This our beloved 100 year old home, which has been lovingly maintained. The house has a great vibe and creative, eclectic flair without missing any comforts. As two creatives we have designed and built a space with unique style, and a boutique experience. The kitchen has just been fully remodeled. It is gorgeous and has all the amenities. The outdoor space is whimsical and inviting with total privacy. Our backyard fences and pergola are made from recycled pieces of our old carriage house building which burned in 2020. There is a sunny back deck and the covered pergola for relaxing in the shade or for dining outdoors. This is a small 3 bedroom home with great style, unique features and a fantastic outdoor living space. As travelers who love staying in unique homes we've tried to think of everything you'd need as well as many extra touches! You'll love the central location and the relaxing, thoughtful vibe of our home.
