Papa Bear invites you to come relax in this beautiful riverfront log cabin, with all the right amenities and a view second to none. Located near the beautiful Skyline Drive and Ski Slopes. Explore the famous Luray Caverns or take a short drive to the home of Thomas Jefferson. Maybe just relax, or fish or read a good book. This cabin will certainly create memories for a lifetime.
Papa Bear's River Cabin is family owned and built by Mr. Ron Hensley and son Tony Hensley. The Shenandoah Valley is a beautiful place and we love to share the area's natural beauty with our guest.
Whether you are looking for the perfect place to go fishing , or simply to enjoy the peaceful view of the Shenandoah River and the awesome views of the surrounding mountains , you will fall in love with Papa Bear's River Cabin !!

Super clean beautiful cabin. Perfect place to stay near the park. Grocery store 14 minutes away. The river has a ton of fish. Great fishing. Bonnie the hostess is sweet and extremely responsive, a really great lady. Thank you for sharing your families cabin. There are too many bear decorations inside to count! So fun. Wish we could have stayed longer. Its on our list for a return visit.

The cabin was so nicely decorated with a bear theme all around. The cabin was spacious and clean. Fishing in the river was great. The hot tub was perfect. The views were spectacular. Communication was excellent. We can not wait to book this cabin again.

What a beautiful and quiet getaway! The river view added so much to our stay. So much wildlife the 2 photographers had trouble keeping up with it all. Hotdogs and marshmallows over the firepit just added to our wonderful experience. We will definitely return next year!

Beautiful cabin and surroundings! The cabin has a hot tub and fireplace, which further enhanced our experience. Very quiet riverfront setting with deck overlooking the water and rolling green grass. No immediate neighbors. We would love to come back again!

What a great get away with our 5 young grandsons. great river access. The grounds are so private with tons of land for active boys to run around and blow off energy. Felt very safe at all times. Great communication with the owner. The beds were comfortable and enough appliances and cookware for our 3 night stay. Would recommend this house for a short term stay

The cabin was a great get away for 5 outdoorsy guys celebrating a bachelor’s weekend. Property owner had nice mowed pathway to easily gain access to the river to fish. Also, a nice spot on the river bank to catfish with already installed rod holders. The cabin was private with no disturbance from neighbors. Only had vehicle traffic on the backroad. The cabin came with two grills and charcoal and propane, but both need grate replacement. However, with aluminum foil we made it work. Then inside of the cabin was very nice and organized. I would definitely go back to this cabin

My husband and I booked papa bears to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The cabin was absolutely perfect. A little slice of heaven for sure and we already can not wait to come back. Peaceful getaway

The house and property exceeded our expectations and our family enjoyed our stay. The bugs were pretty bad near the river but the large catfish catches made it worth it.
