A great place to stay

Lovely cottage in the Yorkshire moors. Great hosts made us feel really welcome & at home. Stape is a good start for walks and trips by car to discover the moors. The cottage provides all you need and makes for a place you really come to unwind, relax and rest. Would definitely recommend.

Thank you both for taking the time to write this - lovely to have you back with us again, and to hear you've made the trip over from the Netherlands for a second time! We're so pleased Cloth Fair suited you, and that you found plenty to explore straight from Stape - there are some lovely walks right from the door, and the moors are hard to beat for a drive out too. We're only ever a few steps away if you need anything, so it's good to know that made a difference, and we really enjoyed our chats with you both. Thank you for the recommendation, and we hope to see you again before too long.

What a joy to have you all back again, and to welcome your grandson for the first time. It means such a lot to us when families keep returning year after year, and to see the next generation falling in love with Rawcliffe too is really special. We loved hearing that he had such fun with Skye - she has a real knack for making friends! Lovely to catch up with you as always, and thank you for such kind words. We hope it won't be too long before we see you all again.

The best bolthole

If you're looking for a total relax, this is the place to be. It's now on our list of the ideal get-away and we will be returning. It has everything you could wish for, scenery, a comfy bed, and the most comfortable sofa and armchair and no problems with parking. What's also nice is the local amenities in Pickering. There's a fabulous butcher in the high street, which has home cooked takeaway, so you don't have to cook, you can pop it in the microwave or oven - it comes frozen. We had a chicken pie and rhubarb pie and they didn't disappoint. There's the Cedar Barn Farm Shop which is worth a visit, I won't go into detail but look at their website to see what they have to offer, plus a restaurant. I must mention the chocolate and ice-cream shop in Pickering, that was memorable. There's so much to bring you back. See you again next year Duncan & Jan. Thank you for the most wonderful stay. PS: Children would love the accommodation because we had goats, chickens, cows and ship just outside and there's loads of room to run about.

Thank you, Brian and Deborah, lovely to have you back with us for your second stay this year. We really enjoyed our chats with you both during your time here. Pleased Cloth Fair gave you the relax you were after, and good to hear you found the butcher and Cedar Barn worthwhile, we like both too. Bill and Ben send their regards to any young visitors next time! Looking forward to seeing you both again next year.
