Terry and Anne have a beautiful property! We had everything we needed and appreciated the cleanliness of the room. I really enjoyed drinking coffee on the patio in the morning. This place is just far enough from town to feel isolated, but close enough to make a quick trip to the store or restaurants or softball fields! So quiet and peaceful, I will definitely book again in the future!!

The property was perfect. Close to Fairbanks and North Pole. Very easy drive.
The roads could have been better. We had come to see the lights, but it was cloudy. The snow took the place of the lights. I was very pleased with everything.
Overall, this property was great. It was well-suited for my friend. Upon arrival, the path wasn't shoveled well enough for him to get to the door easily, but the owner and property manager were very responsive and accommodating. We could hear the tenants upstairs at night, but they weren't rowdy :-) Everything was clean. I was under the impression that there was a dining area - there was a table in the room where we slept. The fridge was a mini-fridge. It worked for us. The location was great - it was out of town, but easy to get everywhere we wanted to go. We were able to see the Northern Lights from outside our door! Amazing!

Pleasant stay
This newer property is in very good shape and the radiant floor heat is phenomenal. Location is convenient but the road and parking areas could use some help. Thankfully we didn't have a rental car and the suv did well. The road was a rough as all get out but someone did plow it half way through it stay... more than I can say about the parking area. The host did not bother us and we didn't need anything except I had to reach out to find out how to check in since the info wasn't provided. Very nice and very clean. We'd likely stay here again in the future.

This ADA Accessible property was just what we needed. We were visiting our granddaughter who lives only 5 minutes away. We were pleased to find an ADA that was small but comfortable. It is all we needed for the two of us. Terry was very accommodating, and quick to respond to our needs. The internet is a bit sporadic, but to be expected in Alaska! We would highly recommend this property if you are looking for a smaller out-of-the-way place for a few days!

Right outside of Fairbanks, away from the hustle but easy to get to everywhere we wanted to go; Denali, Chena Hot Springs, Fort Wainwright, North Pole (check out Santa and the reindeer academy ) plenty to do nearby. Cozy, clean, and private, would definitely stay here again.
The badger was a nice place to stay, with a great bathroom. Room was quiet, never heard adjoining guests. Plenty of closet and suitcase room, fridge, glasses and a table. Host was very nice and let us know about community activities. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks for the great hospitality!
Terry and Anne have made their property so comfortable and accommodating. We drove up with two young kids and three dogs with all the plans of seeing Santa and Ice sculptures etc. But honestly it was a struggle to not just hang around the rental and play in the deep deep snow and snuggle in when we weren’t at our wrestling tournament. The location was easy to let out dogs play and go for walks without worrying about cars and other people. Fantastic rental!!!!

About the host
Hosted by Terry Duszynski
Terry is a home building inspector, energy rater, dad, grandpa, and friend to all. Anne works at a local non-profit bringing performing artists to Fairbanks. Together for 16 years, they both love to travel and stay at Vrbos. After living in Fairbanks 40 and 25 years respectively, they figure they know everyone in town - and all the good places to go. Both really enjoy sharing what they've learned with guests. Guests always remark how clean everything is. We like to clean as we wish to be cleaned for! Especially during this time, every touch surface is disinfected between users.
Why they chose this property
We've had so much fun hosting the past few years that we built another house next door especially to host guests. This one has an array of options. You can rent the whole house, one room, or a couple of rooms. Each is independent of the others. Each has its own entrance, fridge, microwave, bathroom, and privacy from the rest of the building. This room is fully ADA compliant.
What makes this property unique
Great aurora viewing. ADA compliant Quiet location Close to town On the way to Chena Hot Springs Thoroughly clean! Friendly, thoughtful hosts who respect your independence.
