"Lion Downe" cottage, the perfect get-away with all the extras (new large hot tub, free WIFI, satellite, firewood, etc.) , located in the heart of the Rush River Valley, along the scenic Mississippi corridor with brand new large hot tub and expanded deck with unparalleled views of Lake Pepin and the surrounding majestic bluffs.

Stunning log home, as featured in Log Home Living Magazine, is nestled in the bluffs, with breathtaking views of Lake Pepin from every room in the house, and from the large deck. The serenity and cozy feeling is accentuated from the surrounding 40 acres of private majestic hard wood forest. 660 foot of lake frontage, easily accessible from the lake (but not from cottage up in bluffs), with variable sandy beach depending on the season. Located 13 miles downriver of Red Wing, near the Wisconsin Villages of Maiden Rock, Stockholm and Pepin. Just 60 minutes from Minneapolis/St. Paul international airport.

Fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, bird watching and relaxation right out side your back door. Shopping, fine restaurants, and quaint small towns with antiques, arts, crafts, and frequent festivals all within a short, pleasant drive along the lake shore.

Wow! Cannot believe how lovely this cabin in the woods was for our group. Make sure to check out the bottom level porch. The deck view cannot be captured in a picture because it is so pretty and relaxing. Highly recommend staying here.

We found everything as advertized. Our bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the beautiful views from every room, the deck and hot tub too! The kitchen was fully equipped. We hope to stay there again. Minnesota and Wisconsin are beautiful states.

We loved everything about our stay at this beautiful cabin. The cabin itself is amazing. It was fun trying all the different areas to relax and enjoy the views. The kitchen, dining, bedrooms and bathrooms were all well-equipped. We were especially impressed with how clean everything was. Even the outdoor furniture and hot tub were immaculate. The host responded quickly to messages. We would highly recommend this place to couples as well as groups.

The place was amazing! Seems like a great place for large families, but was a perfect getaway for my wife and I. We brought along our dog who loved exploring the area around the cottage and go for walks down the dirt road. The open air room was ideal for reading in the morning, all the furniture was comfy, and the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after a long day. The kitchen has everything you need to make delicious meals, and there are plenty of games to pass the time. We went to nearby Red Wing, MN which has an amazing bakery called Hanisch. We will definitely be back in the future!

This was our third stay. As a group of moms ready to relax, we greatly enjoy the communal kitchen and living area. The house is fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The views of the river and wildlife are incredible. We hope to be back again next year.

The cottage was great. The stone fireplace was awesome and really enjoyed the hot tub too! The 1 acre dog run is amazing for guest with dogs!!! Red Wing is only 20 minutes away for shopping. Rob and Heather were very responsive and helpful.

Wonderful hosts. The most comfortable beds! The views are breathtaking. Deer on the property! House was stocked with everything you could think of! The fireplace inside was our absolute favorite part. I would recommend this house 10/10 for any group setting!!! Fully stocked game room and the tv was SO easy to navigate.
