The lake home was designed for you and your family to have a great time. The 145' lakefront property is on the channel of Dewey Lake - go kayaking or fish right off the pier and enjoy the privacy of large trees and few neighbors. Visit the private beach just a quick walk down the street.

Dewey Lake has a sandbar where many anchor up together to have fun in the sun with family and friends.

Message me for our Pontoon Package. Yes, you can have access to a pontoon boat the entire time you're at the Huckleberry House.

The hostess went above and beyond in providing extras such as shampoo, soap, cream rinse, toilet paper, beach towels, etc. She also provided notes around the house which helped. The many charging stations around the house was unusual for rentals. We truly enjoyed the house, the pontoon, and being right on the water. Excellent vacation home.

As for the chargers, I stayed at someone else's property and they had the power towers and varied sized charger cords by each bed and I loved it, therefore I brought the love to my guests. First place I stayed where the tell you to wash, fold and put away your dirty towels,and wash your bed linens.

Perfect family getaway! Especially if you rent the pontoon. The home is very roomy but still cozy. Very well stocked and can’t think of anything you’d have to bring. Beds very comfortable and kitchen and outside grill made meals at home easy. Games, books and smart TV great for recreation. Outside patio and sun room provide even more spots to relax. The neighborhood is safe and very quiet. We loved our trip to the Sister Lakes and would definitely stay again. Day trips to St. Joseph, South Haven and wineries balanced the fishing/ swimming/boat activities. If you’re looking for a Midwest getaway for the whole family, this is it! Thank you Lori for sharing your wonderful home!

Great Place to Stay

It was really nice working with the owner. The house was clean and rooms as described. Great option to rent the boat for the weekend and awesome location being right on the channel to the lake. We would stay here again!

Lovely stay at the Huckleberry House!

My family rented the Huckleberry house for 4 nights and we had an amazing time! Lori is a wonderful host, the area is cute with plenty of restaurants and the house was perfect for our family! We drove to Silver Beach on Lake Michigan which wasn’t too far and enjoyed Dewey lake. Thank you for a great stay!

Amazing stay! Beds are extremely comfortable, overall place is cute, homey, and clean. Love that it is dog friendly! We had such a wonderful time. Only hang up was Dowagiac does not have many dog-friendly restaurants and places. So we had to travel 20-30min to go to dog friendly restaurants. Besides that, our stay here was wonderful!

Charming getaway

Huckleberry house is a nice relaxing retreat from the city. Being able to bring our dog was extra fun for the kids. The place everything you need. It’s a great place on a budget and dog friendly.

Great Winter Retreat!

Stayed here for 3 nights over NYE weekend with 2 couples. The place was clean and exactly as presented on the listing. In addition there were some nice touches like K-Cups and chargers provided. Would definitely stay here again!

A Perfect Getaway!

The Huckleberry House offered us a perfect family getaway! The house is so charming and the location was great. We loved our time outdoors on the deck and out on the lake. Lori was available and such a great host! Can’t wait to return!

Great lake house

We loved our stay in the house along with the use of the boat. We made a lot of friends at the sandbar, aka the island. Loved the restaurants and breweries. We brought our bikes and loved biking around on the quiet roads. Can't wait to stay here again.

Great Dewey Lake Stay

This is such a great place to stay! We had a great week. They have all of the amenities you could need during your time here. Communication was great and we always got fast replies. Overall we had one of the best stays we’ve had at Dewey in a while and would love to come back and stay at Huckleberry House.

Amazing lake house

One of my favorite vacation stays so far. Not only was the house fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The host was extremely nice and answered all my questions. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone who wants a quiet vacation.

Great property, great time!

The property was as described and pictured. It was everything we needed for a great, relaxing stay. We really appreciated finding a dog friendly property so we could bring our 7 month old golden retriever. We also rented the pontoon boat which was the highlight of the trip. Lori was great with communication and provided a nice list of things to do in the area. Overall, we had a lot of fun and would return.
