Cute and convenient second-floor vacation condo apartment with wrap-around veranda on West Gulf Beach Drive in the "Town Center" of St. George Island, within walking distance of most everywhere you'll want to go. (NOTE: The adjacent apartment in this building is popular VRBO listing #1282605. The two apartments may be rented together for larger groups upon request.)
* BEACH ACCESS: Easy 3-minute stroll down to the beach. Take the shortcut next to the Blue Parrot restaurant, or you can stroll another block down the walking/bike path to the St. George Lighthouse Park / Museum. This public park offers all the free amenities you need for a great day at the beach, including a boardwalk down to the sand, pavilion with picnic tables, public restrooms, outdoor showers, a playground, and even a basketball court. * SLEEPING: 2 bedrooms, each with a king-sized bed, dresser, and ample closet space. * BATHS: 1 spacious full bath with tub/shower, plus one half-bath / powder room off the hall. * KITCHEN: Well equipped kitchen with range, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, dishes, pots and pans, etc. * SITTING PORCH: Deep wrap-around veranda with picnic table, perfect for outdoor dining and watching the seagulls, sunrises, and sunsets! * RESTAURANTS & NIGHTLIFE: Steps away from several of the island's most popular restaurants and bars, including BJ's Pizza next door (sandwiches, salads, pizza, ice cream, and beer), Doc Myers' Island Pub and Sports Bar (open air venue with live music and game nights, just around the corner), Blue Parrot (popular seafood spot almost straight in front of us on beach with outdoor bar), the Beach Pit (also just around the block -- be sure to check them out for breakfast), and Harry A’s (yet another great spot that often has live music — we love their Sunday brunch) * EQUIPMENT RENTALS: Rent just about anything you need for fun directly across the street from Jolly Rogers Beach Shop. Bicycles, kayaks, golf carts, paddle boards, beach chairs, beach towels, fishing poles, jet skis, and more! * ISLAND SHOPS: Groceries, ice cream, shopping, boat charters, visitor information, a pedicure... whatever you need on the island, everything is a short walk away from this perfectly situated vacation home base. * INTERNET/TV: Large HDTV in living room with smart apps (access your own accounts w/Netflix, Hulu, etc.), plus secure, fast cable-based WiFi.
As of May 20, 2020, Franklin County is now allowing limited opening of vacation rentals with the following caveats: * We are not permitted to rent to guests who are traveling from foreign countries or areas in the US that are current or recent COVID-19 "hot spots", defined as communities with more than 500 active cases per 100K residents. When booking, please let us know where you are traveling from and verify your community's current status on the CDC website: https://www.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/index.html * Although there are no guarantees, we will do our very best to thoroughly sanitize the unit in between guests. Our cleaning personnel have made changes to their procedures to adhere as closely as possible to CDC guidelines. If you have any questions or special needs, please let us know! * In general, items such as throw pillows, throw blankets and consumable household/kitchen/bathroom supplies will be temporarily removed from the vacation rental to limit the surfaces that could potentially transmit the virus. There will also be fewer linens and kitchen utensils etc. made available. Basically, anything you might touch during your stay must be cleaned thoroughly, so we are being asked to cut back on the "extras" for everyone's safety. Please consider what you will need to be comfortable during your visit, and make sure to bring your own supplies. * Our cleaning staff is working extra hard and long during this time, and so we do need to adjust our check-in and check-out times to ensure there is an adequate window between guests. Our new checkout time will be 9:00 AM and our check-in time will be 5:00 PM. Thank you for understanding!
Even with these protections, please take every precaution when you are visiting the island. Wear masks whenever you leave the apartment, practice 6-foot minimum social distancing wherever you go, and plan to bring your own food, condiments, and other consumable supplies that you may need during your stay. If you do not plan to do these things, please, please do not visit the island during this period! It's important, and it is part of our official "guest rules" at this time.
We are so sorry that we must be so strict and that we cannot offer you the usual amenities, but we do want you, our cleaning staff, and everyone on St. George Island to remain safe! If we all stay vigilant, St. George is a lovely place to get away for a break from this difficult time. :)

House is near restaurants and a quick walk to the beach. Both bedrooms have kings, but only one bedroom has a tv. Kitchen was stocked with everything you would need to cook at home. This was a great space for a family of 4.
The property was very clean, updated, and had everything you could want or need! The best part was the location which was outstanding. The owner communicated easily and took care of any issue which we had. Would not hesitate to stay here again!
The owner needs to fire his cleaning staff. Bathtub was filthy. Went to make coffee in the coffee pot and it was full of mold. Needs to be thrown away. Water was Luke warm. Refrigerator sounded like it was going to take off and could feel cold air from the door. The tub faucet and toilet both leaked. Doors walls and baseboards were very dirty. Unfortunate because it’s a great location and has potential.

Very comfortable and roomy. Could have used a little cleaning of the floors and the ceiling fans. Small details but very noticeable. Everything else was just fine.
The location was fantastic! We were able to walk to the restaurants and the beach was also close by. Reasonable rates and the property was clean and stocked with everything we needed. Highly recommended.
We love the location of the property. Near everything and bike path across the street. Very clean and well supplied with everything we needed. Kind of busy with street noise during the day but totally quiet in the evening. Love the wraparound porch and breezes from the Gulf. Be sure to check out the sunset from the fishing pier
We loved sitting on the porch. It was also very private not anyone around the apartment complex. The place is just as described. Also, you can walk to anywhere from this location . Also, the owner Mrs. Marilyn is the kindest and most precious lady. She was visiting at the time we were there. She was helpful and great to talk to and was so good to us.
The unit has been recently remodeled and is very nice - 10ft ceilings, new fixtures, etc. It is perfect for 2 couple or a small family. In the center of all businesses so you can walk to everything.
