Fabulous Cottage.
Clean, modern interior, excellent facilities - the owners have thought of everything, supplying towels and toiletries and the kitchen is well equipped with tea, coffee etc. Loved it and will definitely re book. Thank you for the welcome bottle of wine too!

Many thanks for your kind review, much appreciated, and pleased you enjoyed your weekend.
Fabulous location. Difficult to drive down to property though with a large car to unload/load. We were fortunate to have a small garden area. Kitchen was well equiped. Host promptly replied to our messages. Clearer instructions would have been helpful regarding the rubbish bins. All in all the cottage was great. We would definitely return.
Everything about the cottage was perfect - very well equipped and comfortable. Jane was very responsive to queries. Beautiful sun trap garden to have a cup of tea in after long walks along the coast. If you are not familiar with Staithes - it is hilly - but beautiful. Cannot park at the cottage (not unusual for Staithes) but in reality, easy to load/unload and to find alternative parking.

So please you enjoyed Staithes and our lovely Longhouse.
We do try to do our best so you have a really good stay with us, and to make it memorable for the right reason!
Thank you
Jane
Classic English cottage in middle of historical fishermans village at the brim of North Yorkshire National Park. Cottage is well equiped according to former British standards, so continental travelers should carry their own foreign accessories themselves.
Location is unique and pittoresque. The cliffs and nearby moors are magnificent. And after a while you'll get used to the lively backround noises of numerous seabirds.
This is an unusual and cozy cottage in a beautiful location. We enjoyed our stay very much and Jane was very helpful. We were warned about the seagulls but once inside their noise didn't bother us at at all

Yes, it certainly is unusual and it was of it’s time. Now somewhat updated!
I’m here to check on things etc for a few days and I really don’t want to leave…. even though the seagulls were holding a conference on the roof opposite at 2.30 am one morning. Amusing little critters at times.
Pleased you enjoyed your stay, the garden is a huge bonus as it does get the sun and generally not the wind.
We loved this cottage. It was in a really peaceful location but above all was so fantastically equipped. The lounge area was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything that was needed (and more). If we were staying in Staithes again we’d stay here.
The host was very communicative thrombosis the booking process all the way through until we arrived which made things very easy.
We had not discovered Staithes before and wow! What a fantastic break we had. longhouse is perfectly located within the village, very well equiped and has a small garden which we enjoyed very much. There is so much to see and it seems every route you walk rewards you with the most fantastc views.

Pleased the weary was with you
This cottage is one of the best equipped I have ever stayed in - from practical things to little treats like the bottle of wine and hotel style toiletries in the bathroom. In a great location in the heart of Staithes, we were able to head off for walks along the Cleveland Way as well as enjoy food at the Cod and Lobster.

Lovely property and very helpful owner. Great location! Thanks for the tips re car parking. Seagull noise in the morning just reminds ur at the seaside. We loved it overall and would recommend. Thanks Jane!
The property was spotlessly clean with a homely feel and everything we could possibly need. The location is perfect in the beautiful village of Staithes. Hope to visit again soon. Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home.

A cosy, relaxing haven that left the stresses of life behind.
Immediately you felt at home but the sound of the gulls and lapping water were constant happy reminders that you were away.We were looking for a destressing experience after a busy Christmas and before the festivities of the New Year and that is what we found. The property is instantly user friendly ,everything is high quality, with everything we needed.Location is superb .We parked the car on a Friday lunchtime and didn't use it until Monday morning. We found plenty to do by just walking out of the cottage.Garden a bonus as we had good enough weather to be able to sit out.Overall we highly rated our stay and would definitely return. The owners contact and good information simplified our stay in every way.
Had a great few nights in Staithes. Cottage is lovely and comfortable. Well equipped property that is clean and well furnished. I highly recommend staying here; I shall certainly book to stay again.
Thanks Jane!

Beautiful quaint cottage!
The cottage is wonderfully maintained, clean and welcoming. My partner and I booked it for a little weekend visit to Staithes.
It was well stocked for everything that you could need and the perfect place for a weekend away. It was a little tricky to find at first but super helpful people pointed us in the right direction. One thing I would remind people of is make sure you have written down the code to get in... although prewarned by Jane about phones not working... I didn't think about not having access to my emails and therefore the information required.
Staithes itself is very picturesque with a couple of lovely pubs, we would certainly recommend the quiz at the Royal George on the Friday and the food at both the Cod and Lobster and the Royal George.

Pleased that you had a super time. All the coast is poor for wifi/phone,and although we provide both you have to be in the cottage first.....
So yes, make a note of the code and directions!

Why they chose this property
Fell in love with this house at first sight, but spent 3 months with the builders doing serious renovation to bring it up to date and to make it a safe place to stay.
What makes this property unique
Totally unique house, one of the oldest in the village and previously would have been home to fisherfolk. Now it has 2 lovely ensuite bedrooms, a modern kitchen and comfortable seating area.
