Mark is a great host. The property is as described... comfortable, ideally located, clean, plenty amenities, etc.I would recommend it to anyone visiting southern Vancouver Island.
This was a great spot for our little trip to Victoria! The kitchen was very well stocked, including with fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, milk, etc. All of the bedrooms were spacious and everyone agreed that the beds and pillows were super comfy. We especially enjoyed going to the little park about 5 minutes from the house, where we walked down to the water and saw an orca!
Was plenty of space for a family of four and a dog. The fenced backyard was great for the kids and puppy to play and was nice and shady on a hot day. The suite was well equipped and the breakfast options were a nice treat.
This was by far the best vacation rental we have had for our family. The 3 separate rooms and ample of space was a joy to stay in. The location is great and let us explore all the Victoria had to offer. Mark did a spectacular job keeping us taken care of from the wonderful breakfast setup to dealing with our random issues as they arose. Highly recommend this rental!!

Hi Jason.
Thank you for your great review.
It was a pleasure having you.
Thank you for taking great care of the suite. I hope your return trip was smooth. Don't tell any other edmontonians but, I will cheer for Your Flames when they get hot. All the best.

Mark & Deana were fabulous hosts & the property more than met our needs. Mark supplied our breakfast foods with all we needed. The place has all the bed needs, as it sleeps a lot. It was perfect for us with 5 people. Very clean & organized. We were there 10 days & very happy! Pat
This VRBO was an excellent choice. There were five adults. The house had plenty of room had everything you needed. The owners couldn’t do enough for you. Great location. We’re able to cover everything we wanted to see from there. I would highly recommend it.
We loved our stay at Mark's place! He was so friendly, kind, and thoughtful. We appreciated the incredible breakfast choices, the toys for our kiddo, and being able to bring our dogs. Our five-year-old thought it was "the best house" he'd ever stayed at. We wanted for nothing and were very comfortable, which is difficult to accomplish given the size of our party (eight, plus two golden retrievers). We would definitely come back. Thank you, Mark!

Hi Lauren. Thank you very very much for your kind words, puts a smile on my face. Operating this bed and breakfast is a new an interesting experience for us. We're not only lucky to have your guests stay here, we appreciate that they took great care of our place. All the best, Mark Henry
Our whole family visited Victoria attending Provincial music competition held in UV for two kids. This house is so close to UV with only 5 minutes drive. House owner is so nice and prepared lots of food in the fridge. He even let kid use their piano practicing for the competition. Very happy stay and will recommend.
We get to the address and were met by the host. Mark gave us a tour of the place and opened the fridge. It was fully stocked with everything we needed for breakfasts. Beds super comfortable and the place was immaculate. Everything we were looking for.A number of walks to the beach deer in the neighborhood and so quiet. The best of everything.Mark even dropped by regularly with more and more food to feed our swi.mers.
We were lucky enough to stay in this wonderful place for 19 days. It was spotlessly clean, spacious and light. The beds in all 3 bedrooms were extremely comfortable. We really can’t fault the place! The location is quiet, with ample parking, close to some great restaurants and easy driving to downtown. As a family I thoroughly recommend this place. There’s even a play structure in the fenced backyard. This would also be ideal for friends or couples travelling together. The hosts are warm and welcoming and provided many delicious treats and were always available for any questions. There may be other places that are closer to downtown but if you have a vehicle or want to Uber, you’d do well to stay here. Honestly, stop scrolling and just book it! You will not regret it.

This house had the perfect number of beds for our family group of three adults and three young adults. We needed five beds and the host was very accommodating to that request. The beds were very comfortable. We appreciated the functional kitchen that included a large tea kettle, good coffee provided, fancy tea cups & saucers, Plenty of silverware, plates and glasses for a large group. The house has a good set up. We appreciated having two full baths and a washer & dryer. I would describe the bathrooms as funky but functional. The ceiling is quite low in one part of one bathroom but it still works fine. The sink is quite tall in that same bathroom but again, it's functional. We LOVED having breakfast foods provided so didn't have to bring own, go to store or find breakfast. Host provided a great variety of foods, including tea, coffee, butter, jam, instant oatmeal etc. The host is great. He had good communication, was very responsive and always ready with helpful suggestions. My young adult kids and I enjoyed walking from the house down to a lovely beach. It's a walkable neighborhood. The unit is private, even though it's downstairs in the hosts home. It includes a nice outdoor space. this house was a great base for our family vacation in Victoria. It's about a 30 minute drive to Butchart Gardens and same distance to downtown and the ferry terminal. We were very comfortable there and would highly recommend it to family groups!

About the host
Hosted by Mark Henry
We are both form British Columbia. Mark enjoys construction and gardening, Deana likes baking and tending to her gardens.
Why they chose this property
Well, we find it is peaceful with lots of trees. It's close to the university and many parks and beaches. Evening walks here are peaceful and pleasant. Lots of hiking trails on both Mt Doug and Mt Tolmie. Many ocean beach access points for walking and one for launching a boat are nearby, just minutes from here! We are close enough to downtown and far enough from downtown.
What makes this property unique
Our BnB is large, about 1200 sq. ft. Having 3 bedrooms with two full bathrooms is unusual and next year we will add a third bathroom for guests convenience.
The guest yard is fenced, perfect for small gatherings and quiet afternoon events. The patio is very large with lots of seating, including wooden swing benches for four. It's protected from the rain so you can enjoy it on wet days. Powerful EV charger
