A lovely place and perfect for our needs. The house had a spacious layout and all the amenities. It is off of a very quiet road and you do need to drive at least 8 miles to get anywhere. It does not have a dishwasher, but I would definitely stay there again.

JaneAs I am pleased your stay was comfortable and relaxing. On your next stay take advance of Long Lake in the small town of Harrison just 3.5 miles away. God Bless
The great: 1) The kitchen was well-stocked with just about any item a baker/cook would ever need. 2) The open kitchen/living room gave us plenty of room to hang out. 3) The beds were decently comfortable with lots of pillows and new sheets. 4) All the surfaces were clean. 5) The location was very private and the mostly empty road was great for walking our dog. 6) There was plenty of seating between the island and table to eat and play games. The not-great: 1) We arrived to very, very tall grass in the yard (the management company got someone out the next morning to mow). The messy yard definitely affected our first impressions. 2) The house had two areas that did not smell very good - the pantry smelled of vinegar, and the master closet smelled of... mothballs? The management company did offer to have someone come remove the clothes in the closet to see if that helped, but with our dog, that would have been a hassle, so we just didn't use the closet. 3) There were two portable AC units, one in the master bedroom and one in the living room. It was a very hot week, so if we closed the doors to the other bedrooms, they got stuffy, even with fans. 4) There were ceiling fans, but we could not figure out what combination of switches would make them work.Overall, it was a reasonably comfortable, reasonably priced, pet-friendly home with a few disappointments. (Not complaining, but note that the description does not mention a dishwasher, which is accurate.)

From the Owner: "I am very sorry for your inconvenience of the property not meeting your expectations as far as mowing. The lawn person was on the property to make it right for your enjoyment. The closet you mentioned smelled of Vinegar. This issue has been resolved. I have had several renters before you and did not notice any smell from the master bedroom closet. I take pride in my home and strive to give every guest the best accommodations. As for fans and air conditioners, I am sorry you were not able to use the remotes available. My sincere apologies."
