I'm a Kiwi, born and bred and living back in Wellington, New Zealand.
We became hosts when we moved onto our yacht with a plan to sail around the world. We had a house full of furniture and no idea how having a baby on board would go, so hosting gave us the flexibility to return to our house if necessary. Everything worked out great though, we love hosting and so does our 10 year old daughter!

What makes this property unique
Our family bought this land in the 1990s and built a villa that feels like it’s always belonged here. Inspired by the character of the street, we reused doors and windows salvaged from a historic nursing home to give the home an authentic feel—while designing a warm, modern space full of charm and clever touches. I lived just two streets away and fell in love with this suburb’s energy, its tight-knit community, and how close it is to everything.
