We had a great stay at Cedar Coast! Our accommodation was spacious and the covered deck was a great place to enjoy the views… and the hummingbirds!Our hosts Rob & Lynn were welcoming and made us feel at home. Communication was great.

Super quiet spot, we were the only booking for most of our stay so not sure when others are there. The hosts are great, one will greet you when you arrive and answer any questions you may have. The deck down by the ocean on the west side is amazing. Kitchen has some basic ingredients for cooking like salt, pepper, oil, butter, jam and peanut butter. As well as a starter supply of coffee pods. The place is clean and tidy. The ocean views are off the charts. Would stay again :)

This secluded Suite was beyond our expectations and one of the best places we've ever stayed. The hosts were extraordinary with information on the area, places to eat and overall hospitality. Our only complaint is that we needed more than 3 nights to check out the area.

This was a lovely location, made better, if possible, by the beautiful suite that awaited us. Excellent view of the ocean. We watched otters play near the shore line, had an eagle land in the tree just in front of our deck, could see whales on the horizon. Oh, and there are hummingbirds to watch all day long. Location is perfectly aligned with several beaches along the coast line.

Amazing view with wonderful birdwatching and wildlife

We loved the flowers and incredible view at this place, so serene and comfortable. There were so many hummingbirds, eagles, warblers, otters and other wildlife. Highly recommend and hope to visit again.

Amazing getaway

Rob and Lynn are gracious hosts and happy share knowledge about the area. The property is one of the most beautiful spots we’ve ever stayed at on the island. Whether it was the day trip to Port Renfrew, the bear sighting or the amazing whale watching from the house, it was a trip we will remember for a long time.

Perfect Getaway

If you want to get away from the city hustle and bustle, this is a perfect location for you - just the forest and water, and nothing else around. The view from the windows and the deck is simply amazing. The condo is well-equipped, and Robert is an excellent host - friendly and helpful.

Wonderful retreat.

This is a beautiful property with a view that takes your breath away. This property is a gem, my husband and I were looking for a quiet getaway and this did just that. The owners were amazing and helpful, the property was even better than the photos. The place was clean, well stocked and the bed very comfortable. We hope to return again soon. I highly recommended staying here the next time you are on the island. The perfect getaway.

Great experience overall

My husband and I really loved the area the place is in. Our whole experience really was extraordinary. Rob was so quick to respond to any questions we had. Sophistication

We chose this property for the ocean view and location in relation to days trips (Sooke and Port Renfrew areas, numerous hiking trails and a day trip to Victoria). We stayed in the one bedroom unit and were impressed by the design, decor, amenities (both within the unit and the property as a whole) and the quality of construction. Had we not planned so many activities we would have been more than happy to just stay at the property and enjoy the view, the patio and the amazing stairs down to the ocean. We will be back!

Amazing property and view

We stayed in the immaculate one bedroom condo for a week. We enjoyed the spacious rooms with modern clean design and the great porch with fantastic view. The view can not get better than that. You can spend all day just looking for whales. We also enjoyed walking on the private beach in the morning when the tide was low, paddleboarding, great food in Shirley and Sooke. We had a great time. Thank you Rob! And thanks for letting us to use your car charger! I hope we will be able to come back one day. It was a relaxing stay, highly recommended.

Fantastic view, great location, but could not rest as expected Great location - next to French beach and very close to Shirley cafe and the best Pizza on the Island. It is a lovely property on the cliff with 3 suites downstairs while upstairs is where owners live. Very well designed so that each has a fantastic view over the ocean while maintaining its privacy.All seem brand new, nicely designed and very clean.. all you need in the kitchen, fantastic views... several lovely sports on the property where you can sit in total privacy and watch the ocean bold eagle who is nested nearby,otter, seals and sea lions.We chose a corner  suite with a large porch because we wanted to be sure we have privacy.And while we indeed had total privacy - we did have noise too. Apparently whatever room was above us the owners use as some kind of storage so they would come in with their shoes on and stomped around both early mornings and later evenings . They woke us up each time.Also they decided to use a leaf blower in the morning. So, it depends what kind of vacation you prefer: for this you can rent a whole house in Jordan River for yourself and make sure nobody wakes you up in the morning or evening. But, for people who prefer to have owners on the property in case they need them or if you do not mind someone stomping above you or using a leaf blower in the mornings - this would be an absolutely perfect option.

We chose the most beautiful and warmest area of Canada.
-dozens of parks. trails, hiking, biking, all very close or within an hour drive,
-oceanfront views from every room make us think we are still on vacation
after living here for over 3 years,
-3 acres of privacy and quiet solitude, but only 20 minutes from shopping,
-wildlife with whales, seals, otters, bears, deer, cougar, bald eagles, hummingbirds,
viewed at times throughout the year (no guarantee of daily sightings)
We wouldn't choose to live any where else.
