This oceanfront luxury cottage is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway or a small family holiday. Salish Sunrise Cottage is situated in a mature forest and features views of Secretary Island to the southeast and the Olympic mountains to the south. For experienced kayakers or SUP enthusiasts with their own gear, the beach is easily accessed and offers a good place to launch and begin exploring. Memorable stay in Sooke

The views from the unit are stunning. It was a joy to wake up every morning and open the sliding doors to hear the ocean. Couldn’t have asked from a better stay!

Amazing stay! Property is one in a thousand! We are seasoned travellers and have seen many places. If I could give score above 10 I would gladly do it! Clean, equipped and peaceful. Landscape amazing. Spent last two days at the patios next to the ocean. Such a jewel! Thank you guys for everything! Will definitely return.

Beautifully appointed cottage. Fully equipped kitchen & laundry. Amazing views of the Juan de Fuca/Salish Sea! Very peaceful and not too far from downtown Victoria. Only complaints: walking down the gravel driveway/stone steps which was steep and a little unstable to carry our luggage.And the bed seemed small for two but it was cozy.

An excellent weekend away

The property was exactly as advertised, owners delivered clear and useful instructions in a timely manner. Wonderful atmosphere and location, very close to everything essential and a short drive to everything else. We had a wonderful time and will definitely consider returning.

Incredible property, beautiful little place, awesome scenery from the hot tub and chairs. Such a nice little getaway well worth the venture out to Sooke to see this gorgeous spot.

Tranquility by the sea

The view from the suite was absolutely stunning! We enjoyed watching a family of geese swim by In the ocean. The hot tub was a great plus.The ameneties in the condo were perfect. Also the landscaped gardens are beautiful. Thanks so much.Hope to be back again soon!

Weekend getaway wonder

Perfect getaway for a weekend or short stay. Easy access to town and amenities if need be. Grounds are immaculate , hot tub use was phenomenal. Cabin boats spectacular views - captured sea lions strolling by. Cooking facilities ample . Bed was very comfortable. Definitely will return during peak season to take advantage of SUP or kayaking. Thank you !

Enchanting

Salish sunrise cottage was a beautiful place to stay. Very private with stunning waterfront views that were spectacular. A pod of orcas went by very near the shore. Was thrilling! Highly recommend.

Salish Sunrise Cottage

We had an amazing stay. It was private, quiet, had an amazing ocean view and great access to the beach, beautiful landscaping, and everything we needed in the cottage. The bed and pillows were comfortable, which is always most important. The windows in the cottage were impressively designed to take advantage of the views from every room, yet maximize privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub while taking in the views. The bonus was the company of a sea otter that swam not far from our beach every day! I would stay here again, definitely.

Fantastic Location

We enjoyed our stay, the property was great and waking up to the sunrise was amazing. One thing that isn't represented in the photos is the proximity of the property owner's main house. Privacy was not as much as we thought when booking. Communication with the host was essentials only.

We stayed here for 4 days in July. The location is good, the view spectacular, the landscaping excellent, the house was stocked. However, getting to the cabin from you car is a task. You park your car at the top of the hill and are expected to drag your wheeled luggage down a steep hill (50% angle) on gravel to a path leading to the cabin- gravel again. So this applies to getting groceries and taking garbage out. Now we are 82 & 76 yrs which made it difficult for us as we didn't want to fall. If you are 20 no problem perhaps. As a result we only ate breakfast there- too much hassle getting groc. there. The driveway could be asphalted with drainage so it would be so much more accessible. A big tire wagon could be left for the guests to get their stuff down the hill. I called the owner and he did let us drive part way down the driveway to help get the luggage down.

Salish Sunrise = Spectacular Sunrise

My husband and I stayed at this cabin for our 10th anniversary and this property blew us away! Although our stay was hampered by two consecutive days of rain, we enjoyed hopping from town to town, and exploring beaches and trails. In the mornings and evenings, we spent our time listening to the low lull of the ocean and watching the plentiful wildlife from the hot tub. We were able to see seals, a couple families of geese and goslings, as well as hummingbirds. The overall landscaping and flora on the property was gorgeous! We were slightly bummed that we were not able to experience the fire, but overall we were so wonderfully pleased with the communication, location, and our stay. Thank you, again!
