A striking architectural barn-style retreat set on 5 hectares overlooking the rolling Richmond Valley. Soaring ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glazing, designer finishes and two incredible fireplaces create an unforgettable luxury escape. Soak up all-day sun, gather around the outdoor fire, explore Richmond township, and return to complete serenity.
This newly built, architect-designed barn home sits proudly above the iconic Richmond Valley, capturing some of the most impressive rural views in southern Tasmania. Every corner has been thoughtfully designed for luxury, comfort and relaxation, with high-end finishes, striking roof lines and warm timber tones throughout.
The open plan living room is the true centrepiece: a spectacular pitched-ceiling space wrapped in glass, welcoming the sun all day long. A timber-lined kitchen stretches almost five metres, with an island bench that seats the entire group and creates the ideal space for preparing meals and gathering together. High-end appliances include a gas cooktop, integrated fridge/freezer, and everything needed for extended stays.
The dining space flows to a sunkissed lounge anchored by a combustion wood heater and uninterrupted valley views. In summer, simply open the sliders and enjoy the breeze; in winter, light the fire and watch the mist roll across the hills – this space is exceptional year-round.
Three generous king bedrooms allow every guest to enjoy complete comfort. The primary suite includes its own ensuite, while the remaining two bedrooms share a sleek main bathroom. Each room includes a panel heater and built-in cabinetry, ensuring comfort during cooler months.
Step outside to multiple entertaining zones, including an east-facing outdoor dining space with built-in outdoor kitchen, as well as a covered alfresco lounge positioned to showcase the sweeping landscape. An outdoor wood fire creates a magical ambience under the stars, or settle in with a glass of wine and soak up the quiet of the countryside.
The home sits on over 5 hectares of private land with native gardens, open grassland, and a dam at the boundary. The driveway is exposed aggregate and offers parking for up to six vehicles, plus an additional secure double garage.
The property is fully solar efficient, absorbs passive heat through its northern aspect, and includes two large water tanks.
Inside and out, this is a high-end rural escape designed to reset, recharge and reconnect.
