This house is historically significant because it was built for Catherine Culp, daughter of Henry Culp, and was close enough for her to walk to her mother's home, situated on the famous Culp's Hill. There are genuine period antiques here, and every room is decorated faithfully in Victorian style and luxury.
With this ideal location, you can walk to the Lincoln Town Square, the battlefields, Gettysburg College, the shops and restaurants. Yet the street is quiet at night and you can enjoy the peacefulness of the gracious porches and the lovely back garden. There is private parking for 2 cars at the back of the property--very valuable so close to all the main attractions! No worries about parking meters and tickets here. Just a fabulous opportunity to enjoy historic Gettysburg with family and friends.

We enjoyed the atmosphere and decor of the house. The house was furnished with everything we could have asked for and we did not have to buy any kitchen items. The house was clean inside and out with the yard being decorative and inviting. We enjoyed the stay and encourage anyone looking for a Victorian stay with places within walking distance to consider this house.
The house is beautifully decorated and very well appointed. Plenty of towels, kitchen has everything, lots of little touches that are usually missing in rental properties. The location is brilliant. Off the noisier main streets but a short walk to everything. Would highly recommend!
Clean comfortable house close to the center of town. Walking distance to a grocery store, restaurants, etc. The kitchen is particularly well equipped for a short term rental--good knives and wide variety of pots and pans. Would rent again!
A lovely house in a fantastic location in the heart of town. It was clean and well appointed, with excellent flatware, dishes, etc....soap and towels...comfortable beds, etc. We'd love to revisit.
The home was perfect! The location was just off the square and convenient. We walked to all the shops. It was fun reading the history of the house as well. Thanks for a great stay!
This is a very nice house, and the location is perfect for exploring Gettysburg and walking to restaurants and shops. Everything was clean and in good condition, and the kitchen was well equipped.
My family and I were absolutely stunned at the beauty and location of this property. A wonderful mix of new amenities and older charm. We loved watching the fireflies in the garden and my daughter loved the artwork. Our trip wasn’t long enough and we will certainly be looking to book again if we can come back next year.
The home is absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. ALL THE BEDS were very comfortable! If you are looking for a Victorian home to highlight your Gettysburg experience, this is the place!
The property was clean, comfortable and inviting. Very well decorated and comfortable beds and seating. Great location, just a 2 minute walk to Lincoln Square and a few minutes drive to the battlefields and museums. The host was amazing with immediate responses to questions. Five Star Plus!
Clean and historic. Literally a half block from the circle. Very close to battlefield and within walking distance to various locations/sites in town. Highly recommend.
We actually stayed at this house twice this summer. We love it. It is clean and the location is great. The parking space alone is worth the stay there. There is plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have their own little part of the house. We can't wait to go back again next year!
This property is in a great location. Carla has the house stocked with everything one would need. Highly recommend!

Making houses beautiful is what I love to do! I find homes in need of renovation in places I truly enjoy, fix them up so I would love living in them, and offer them to vacationers. I spend months living in each property myself, so I make sure it feels good and everything works well. For me, there is no such thing as "just a rental." Everything is top-notch. I'm fifth generation from Hawaii, living most of the time in the San Francisco Bay Area when I'm not in one of the vacation homes. I'm a lifelong entrepreneur & philanthropist, married, and mother of nearly grown twins.
Why they chose this property
I discovered the beauty of Gettysburg when my son started at Gettysburg College. It's such an amazing historic town, different from anything I'd known before, and I fell in love with this town, its people, its history, and this adorable Victorian house. It's been a true labor of love to bring the Victorian Rose to its high level of beauty, safety, and comfort.
