A classic Dordogne country house not smart but charming. The position is perfect, completely private, feeling deep in the countryside and with a beautiful view, but a few hundred metres walk into Domme. It suited us perfectly, with the two houses allowing some separation of the families. We had come back to the Dordogne to celebrate a big birthday by returning to the scene of earlier family holidays in a very basic old cottage in Berbigueres. Castarnou was just sufficiently like it to get the vibe just right.
