About this property

"An oasis by the sea" Canarian finca for nature, watersports & animal lovers

A sunny Canarian cottage, very cozy and fully equipped. Enjoy the sea-view in our little oasis and the breathtaking sunsets from the comfort of your terrace.

Both, the long sandy beach and El Cotillo (a relaxed small surf and fishing town), are located in 10-mins walking distance. From every window there is an incredible view over the sea or the volcano landscape, resembling scenes from Wild West cowboy movies.


The house is placed on a little ranch in El Roque, on the West Coast of Fuerteventura.

The resort is very quiet and offers desirable privacy and space to disconnect from busyness of the world.

Families, nature and sports lovers will especially enjoy the location.

The house includes 2 bedrooms, offering space for 4 people. Part of the property is also a private bathroom, terrace with a table for dining, a desk for any computer work, free Wi-Fi connection. Outside of the house is a little playground for children, a garden with a sun bed, plenty of space for free parking and an area available for BBQ.

Our guests have free access to all installations on the farm. E.g. the playground or the BBQ place. Also the animals (horses, mini-goats ponies, rabbits etc.) may be fed and stroked.
Horse-back riding is available after arrangement. We have also been introducing Mindfulness w/o horses experience.


The guests use the house alone during their stay. On the large property there are other small accommodation capacities. I live at the ranch in a separate house.

Familienfreundlicher Urlaub

Wir hatten eine sehr entspannte Zeit in dem Ferienhaus von Fanny. Super Lage sehr nahe zum Strand der toll für die Kinder war zum Baden. Besonders haben wir die Nähe zu den Tieren genossen. Vielen Dank für gute Zeit.

Wundervoll!

wir durften 3 magische Wochen mit unseren Kinder (3 und 6 Jahre) in der Unterkunft verbringen. Die Lage zwischen Pferden und Meer ist nicht zu schlagen. Die Sonnenuntergänge von der Terrasse aus zu beobachten ist traumhaft. Fanny ist die beste Gastgeberin die man sich vorstellen kann. Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch.

Nicely renovated finca.

Peaceful location only 5 minutes from el Cotillo. Lovely sunsets, nice animals but a few flies around as a result. Bathroom/toilet separate from main building (close though). No wi-fi on arrival-sorted quickly. Some furniture missing from photos in advert. Good for cat fans-a lovely docile cat appears to live there too! Would return as most issues were minor. Some good birds e.g. ? Barbary Falcon on windmill. .

A Home away from home where you can really get away from it all.

My sister and I were lucky enough to stay in this lovely house with it's own terrace and garden and easy parking. The only noisy neighbours are the birds singing and the cicadas chirping. Fanny is a wonderfully friendly, obliging and easily contactable host who will help you with anything from clean towels to info on local yoga classes. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. The terrace is perfect for relaxing as you look out over the desert to watch the sun set and it's an easy 10 minute stroll into El Cotillo. The house is within the grounds of Granja Tara Stables and animal rescue. We enjoyed wandering over to pat the horses and feed our leftovers to the pigs and goats. It was a joy to have such happy, healthy rescue animals as our neighbours and we often had a passing friendly dog or cat stop by to say hello. In fact, the only thing that might discourage you from staying here is if you really don't like animals. We do, and we had a fantastic stay.

Aufwändig und behutsam renovierte Finca in einer grossartigen Landschaft

Fast möchte man einwenden: hey, wir wollen doch nur ein paar Tage Urlaub machen und hier nicht dauerhaft wohnen..., so sorgfältig und durchdacht ist sie ausgestattet, die freistehende Finca. Sie hat einen Rundumblick auf eine wunderbar karge und doch so übervolle Natur- und Kulturlandschaft (ja, Meerblick ist auch dabei), die alte Windmühle, man ist direkt auf einem Pferdehof und über all dem ein Himmel, dessen Light pollution von einer Unzahl Sterne erzeugt wird.

Lovely stay

The house is well-equipped, very comfortable, and absolutely charming, located near (10-15 minute walk, less than a 5 minute drive) the small town and the beach. The property is beautiful and the horses and surrounding landscape add to a lovely, calming ambiance.

Wunderschöne Ferienwohnung mit Meeresblick und Sonnenuntergang

Die Wohnung ist super und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es sind große und helle Zimmer. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Das Haus ist an einem Pferdehof, es sind aber auch andere Tiere da. Traumhaft nicht nur für Kinder. Man kann von dort aus schöne Reittouren starten. Die Besitzer sind extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit, sie haben uns auch mehrmals aus der Patsche geholfen, als wir mit kranken Kind zu tun hatten und als das Auto nicht starten wollte. Der Ort El Cotillo ist klein und verträumt. Die Strände sind einfach genial. Es gibt kilometerweiten Strand mit Wellen oder kleine geschützte Badebuchten für Kleinkinder. Hier kann man Surfbretter mieten oder Kurse machen. Radfahren und Wandern ist auch hier gut möglich. Ich kann diese Ferienwohnung nur empfehlen und würde gerne selbst wieder hingehen.

Idylle, Tiere, Erholung

Bei wunderschönem Wetter haben wir den Aufenthalt auf dem Lande sehr genossen. Die Kinder sind ohne Gefahren immer zu den Tieren gegangen, während die Eltern sich erholt haben. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll landestypisch eingerichtet. In einer Wüstengegend muss man mit teils Staub im Haus rechnen. Auch eine Katzenhaarallergie sollte man nicht haben, diese war schwer aus dem Haus herauszuhalten, den Kindern hat es gefallen. Aber es fehlt an nichts, zweifellos ein Traumdomizil.

Sehr schön und ruhig!

Wir hatten zwei wunderschöne Wochen in dieser Finca. Alles war super sauber als wir ankamen und die Finca ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man so zum Urlaubsleben braucht. Vor allem für unseren kleinen Sohn und Hund war der Urlaub ein Traum: vielen Tiere in direkter Umgebung und überall Spielsachen. Zudem vielen Dank für das Babybett und den Stuhl! Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Liebe Grüße!

Herrliche Ruheoase

Ein herrlicher Platz zum Entspannen und Entschleunigen. 10 Minuten zu Fuß zum nächsten Ort und Strand , der noch nicht so typisch touristisch geprägt ist. Tolle Restaurants vor Ort, herrliche Badebuchten und ein Hotspot für Surfer. Fanny und ihr Mann sind sehr nette und zuvorkommende Gastgeber. Das Haus entspricht exakt der Beschreibung und bietet ausreichend Platz und Komfort. Hatten ein tolle Zeit dort. Gerti + Peter

best place to be

Maison idéalement placé pour ceux et celles voulant éviter le béton du sud; plages extra à proximité ( superbes et sauvages au nord d'El Cotillo), excellent base pour le nord et le centre de l'île. Vraiment une excellent e adresse et une hôte très sympathique, un cadre superbe et dépaysant.
