Overall this place is perfect... When they recommend a high clearance vehicle, they're serious.

We had a great time. There is a fenced yard around the house which is very nice for youngsters.

Not as advertised.

House was clean but old and outdated. Had photo of a pond that was empty. I realize you can’t control rain and rivers but if you say pond it should be maintained by some water source.

Its fed by a spring, but the heat is drying everything up. There is water, and we mention that kayaking and fishing is available. We also tell guests to check with us on water levels, as well as mention that water levels are dependent on rain. Ya'll broke a pool stick and the garage doors wont open. And the house was very dirty. We'll be looking at the garage doors before we return the security deposit.

Did what it needed to do

We picked this spot as a mental reset for a couple of first responders, and a super busy kid. For that it was perfect. Phone only kinda worked, and that’s a good thing for me. Turkeys were fun to talk to. Close enough to town for a quick run if needed, but far enough out to feel secluded. The stars are amazing out there. Getting buzzed by fighter jets was an unexpected thrill. All good stuff. Some things weren’t quite what we were expecting. Downstairs looked like a fresh remodel. Upstairs felt like deer camp. Stuff like an outdoor security light wired in on the stairs wasn’t what we expected. The one frying pan and baking pan were pretty wore out. We bought a new frying pan and left it there. Both BBQ pits could use new grates. I planned on cooking ribs, but didn’t want to fight the rust. The home built one was impressive though. The fishing was good. We all caught something, including a rod and reel from the pond. We left it on the porch for future guests. I wish the dock was where it is in all the pictures online. Seems to be a big marketing point for it not be useable. All in all we enjoyed our stay. Thank you for having us.

It sounds like your getaway served its purpose well, providing a much-needed break for you all. Your feedback about the amenities is noted, and it's thoughtful of you to leave a new frying pan and the rod and reel for future guests. Thank you for staying with us!

Awesome property to disconnect and renew batteries

The property was great, it was exact what I was looking for. I wanted to disconnect from the city life and breath fresh air. Although, some of the days were rainy, we made the most of it. It was a great experience and will definitely stay here again.

Hill Country Getaway

It was extremely hot and dry during our stay so we enjoyed having the pool table during the the heat of the day. Mornings and evenings we enjoyed watching the deer and birds. Hope to go back when there is actually some water in the the creek and pond.

Our family vacation

I really enjoyed our stay at this property but wasn’t completely happy about the ac situation. Several of the room stayed pretty warm due to the window units not being enough to cool the whole house.
