About this property

Cub Cove Lodge is a fully renovated cabin in the Laurel Valley area of Townsend. Two bedrooms with private baths are located on the main floor, along with a gourmet kitchen complete with spices and Keurig coffee maker. The gas fireplace makes the living room a clean cozy center of family gatherings. There is also a covered wrap-around deck on two levels for enjoying mountain views and natural surroundings. Downstairs you will find a game room complete with air hockey, games, Smart TV, and more. The third bedroom is a bunk room as well as another bathroom. Enjoy free access to the Wild Laurel Swimming Pool and Fitness Center while stayiing at Cub Cove Lodge, which is less than a five minute drive. There is also an 18 Hole Golf Course, which offers Ping rental clubs if you leave yours at home. Enjoy S'mores around the private fire pit, located just off the side of the cabin. Located less than ten minutes away from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Cade's Cove entrance, as well as shopping, fishing, the Little River, grocery store, and area restaurants.

Great place to stay!

Very clean. Quiet setting! Close to everything! Kitchen needs to be a little better stocked. It was bare bones. We enjoyed our stay!

Charming cabin in the woods

We came up to the mountains to get out of the heat. Townsend is a lovely place, lots of river float trips going on, but it is not commercial like Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. Lots of hiking trails and parks. If you enjoy golfing, the Laurel Valley Golf Course is right on the property. It's a pristine quiet community. The Company distillery is a great place to visit. There's a carry out restaurant attached that has delicious pub food. There are several restaurants that range from simple to higher end dining, as well. We found the Cade Cove Winery a fun place to visit, mostly sweet wines, with a few drier choices. There was even a cute Catholic church in town right on the river! One note of caution: there are lots of bear. Do not leave food in your car or on your deck. Follow garbage disposal rules exactly! A bear actually got in our truck bc we didn't lock the doors. Fortunately, no food so they didn't go in further. They were rude, though and left the door open!

Great cabin

Property was beautiful. Well prepared with great kitchen. Community pool much smaller than appeared & sadly was out of commission during our stay which was really the only negative!

Cozy and quiet

It was very quiet and peaceful! We picked the location to be near the beauty of the Smokey Mountains but avoid the crowds. We even saw a bear roaming a couple streets away in the community. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone.
