About this property

April Charm ~ Come and experience our Smoky Mountain Magic !

Need a special place to get away from it all? April Charm is the cabin for you! Nestled on a private wooded lot, April Charm offers a calming and serene location to relax and unwind.

Situated in the beautiful Smoky Mountains, our 2-story cabin offers all the comforts of home. Cades Cove, the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, is a short 10-minute drive from the cabin. The Cades Cove loop allows some of the most scenic views, the best opportunities to see wildlife, miles of hiking trails, and historic sites to learn about early Tennessee life in the mountains.

The Wild Laurel Golf Course is a short 0.9 miles from our cabin. Wild Laurel is a public, full-service, par 70, 18-hole golf course. Don’t worry if you forgot your clubs or don’t have any room to pack them, you may rent clubs at the Pro Shop. If you need an adult beverage or a quick snack, feel free to visit the Tavern and enjoy the incredible views from the Club House.

Looking for some fun in the sun during your stay or need an activity to keep those kids busy and entertained? Our sweet little town of Townsend offers walking and biking trails and we have a beautiful scenic River for tubing and fishing. For the less energetic, there are shops and museums to explore. And if you decide you want to see popular Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg attractions – they’re only about 20 miles away.

We offer all the comforts of home with a fully stocked kitchen, a relaxing living room with beautiful natural stone wood-burning fireplace and a 42” TV. Our master suite on the main floor of the cabin offers a wonderful jetted tub for soothing relaxation before tucking into the king-size bed with luxury bedding linens and extra pillows for all levels of comfort.

Upstairs we have a second bedroom with 2 comfy queen-size beds - perfect for those seeking a separate children’s area or to accommodate best friends who joined in on your trip. Also upstairs, there’s an open sitting room with love seat and rocking chair for you to snuggle in and read that inviting book you have been attempting to read for quite some time. And there’s a table and chairs perfect for a challenging jigsaw puzzle or a fun game night.

We invite you to enjoy our beautiful wooded lot from the back porch where you will be serenaded by the birds. (Morning coffee tastes best on the porch!) You may even be lucky enough to spot one of our beautiful black bears or grazing deer. And for those grill experts eager to create a special outdoor meal, bring along your favorite charcoal and wood chips and we will supply the charcoal grill.

So, whether you would like to bring your family, have a friends’ reunion, or just have a quiet time for you and your sweetheart, we know you will fall in love with the charm of our little place in the peaceful side of the Smokies! We are excited to welcome you!

Perfect Place for Several Friends to Share a Space
The cabin was very clean and nicely decorated. There are enough beds for each person in a friend group of four to have their own place to sleep. It was easy to communicate with the property manager and when the battery in the smoke detector needed to be replaced, it was promptly addressed. My only complaint—-the key code VRBO sent me to enter the cabin was incorrect and I had to call the property manager to have the lock reset and get they correct access code. My friends and I will be back next fall for another stay in April Charm.

April's Charm
Wonderful cabin! Beautifully decorated, very comfortable and peaceful but close enough to restaurants and events to make it very convenient. This is the second time we've stayed here and it was a great experience!

I am very blessed to be working with such kind souls as Tony & Linda ( the owners of April Charm) and I am so very thankful that they picked me to be their Property Manager. Please be sure to sign the guest book as Tony & Linda would LOVE to hear about your stay. And do not hesitate to reach out to me for ANY concerns or needs. We want your stay to be magical.

Tony & Linda made an investment in their rental cabin 15 years ago. They still LOVE it today as much as when they first purchased it. Their only complaint is that they cant stay full time !

I recently asked them why they picked the name April Charm - what’s the story behind that name? “The year we bought it we closed in late March and came down every weekend of April to work on it. It was a magical time of becoming familiar with the area, seeking items to make a cabin - OUR cabin, and just plain fun working together on a project. “. April is also their anniversary month so it was an easy decision to name their cabin April Charm. ❤️ They have opened up their home as a rental cabin to allow you to experience the magic of April Charm and fall in love with the Smoky Mountains as they have.

Why they chose this property

Private wooded setting, cannot see any neighbors as you are tucked away in the heart of Townsend and within the Smoky Mountains. Close and convenient to the Peaceful Side of the Smokies for those wanting to unplug and experience local flavor. For the more adventurous type, we have a beautiful river to fish or kayak in and lots of walking and biking trails to enjoy and let’s not forget that you are only 10 minutes away from the most visited National Park in the US - the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. If you prefer to shop and dine at chain restaurants/fast food selections you will not be disappointed in Maryville which is a short 20 minutes away.

If you have a large group and need an additional place to stay, check with Jo as we have some options to keep you close !

What makes this property unique

Why April Charm? I have read thru the guest books that Tony & Linda have collected over the years and the answer is very clear. April Charm is a very warm and welcoming family environment....many of our guests often say the best part of their trip was sitting around the kitchen table as a family, no phones, just good discussion and sharing of meals. Those are the memorable moments that we hope you will have as well.
