The house is very spacious and quiet. Loved the screened in back porch. On a cool sunny morning, the front porch was perfect! My pups loved the fenced side yard for ball chasing, and quick potty breaks. The neighborhood and surrounding streets were great for longer walks. The beach access is very close with a place to park your golf cart. The beach is narrow here during high tide, but during low tide it’s perfect. Overall a very relaxing week.

I am happy to hear you enjoyed the house. Love the shepherd! The beach area isn’t narrow. During your stay a nor'easter offshore pushed tides above normal. The storm never made landfall it caused days of steady northeast wind that piled water against the coast. A full moon late during your week made it worse.

Thanks so much for a great stay! The house is terrific and the location is great because it's not on the main road (so it's more quiet) but still close to everything needed. Very clean and had everything needed. Thanks again, will surely be coming back!

The listing is accurate to the place. It was a very short walk to the beach maybe 3 minutes even with a toddler.

We have been coming to Edisto Beach for four years and have stay here every time. The location is great! Half a block to the beach, no traffic, and the dog's area. You can also get up in the morning with your cup of coffee and go sit on the dock and watch the day come to life. Or fish and drink your coffee is wonderful! In the evening you can sit on the back porch and watch the Egrets and King Fishers hunt for their dinner. Rachel is a great host and it was all set when we came in.Thanks!

The house is lovely and perfect for our needs. The host is extremely accommodating and goes the extra mile. A problem arose caused by weather and she was on top of it immediately. Our stay felt like we were actually staying in someone’s home and not just a rental thrown together for profit.

Rebecca, I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay! Again, I apologize that kayaks are not included with the house due to insurance requirements. I do hope you made use of the adjustment I made in response to your concern and that your party rented kayaks on the island. Thankfully, there is a kayak rental store located less than a block away from the house. I hope you stay again. Edisto is calling! Rachel

We had another wonder stay at Edisto Beach, in the Shark Shack! Had a great time at the beach and casting off the new dock. The location is great. Enjoyed the house and the enclosed yard area for the dog. A real short walk to the beach and close to the various shops. 3Gulls Creamery was another tradition we were able to do again this year.
