I thought there was a walk-in shower, but there was not. There were a lot of ants in the kitchen, and the broken tiles in the entryway were an issue for my disabled mother and son-in-law. Also, it would have been nice to be able to use the fireplace in the living room, since they are listed, I thought they would be working. Overall, we had a great time. The view was amazing, and having the big table was fun.Did want to let the owner know that the outlet by the coffee alcove did not always work, and one of the lamps in the living room was not working.

I stayed here with 9 other folks for a week. It was great to have a place where we could all stay together and be spread out enough while in the same space. There was enough room at the table for us to all eat together. The two fridges and lots of counter space and kitchen supplies made group meals a breeze. The host was quick to respond to all questions before booking, while preparing for the trip, and while staying at the house. Unparalleled views. The house is undergoing some repairs, one of the freezers leaks into the fridge, and there was some damage to walls and chairs before our arrival but that did not impact our stay. One improvement that was made before we arrived and I hope gets added to the listing - the Eagle room, I believe it was called with three beds, now is connected to the rest of the house so is heated. That was a big plus.

Great space, views, great big dining room table for meals, playing cards/games, nice number of bedrooms for our group of 8 womenWe were struggling with the temperatures, (March) the basement was very cold and we couldn’t find a thermostat that worked for that area, the fireplaces were controlled by an app on the owners phone, that didn’t do us any good, the large oven didn’t work, coffee makers were filthy and there was a pod left in the Keurig so luckily one of our gals checked it out so we had time to clean them up so we could have coffee in the morning, also the deck seemed very unsafe, and it seems to have been in renovation for some time

Tremendous views and a responsive host. Lots of space. Great central areas to gather. It is a house that is being renovated and those renovations are both good and obvious. Lots of little things are in process of being fixed. Nothing unsafe… just good to know depending on what you want from this place. For us it was great.

Amazing time with family

This property is amazing. There was a ton of room for all of us, and we really enjoyed our stay. Breanna was so easy to communicate with and was truly an amazing host! If we're ever needing a place to stay in Wabasha again - this will be my go-to place!

Great spot for a weekend of hiking

This home offered everything we needed for a small group to celebrate a milestone birthday with a weekend of hiking, games and good conversation. As others have noted, it is obviously in various stages of rehab/renovation, but that is a minor point overshadowed by spectacular views and a kitchen with everything you'll need during your stay.

House has been updated since the photos, it was much better than we thought. There is a golf course across the street, and very limited parking. The garage is a workshop to update the house. The view speaks for itself. There is a fire pit in the front yard and also a patio table and chairs.

Enjoy the updates

Fifteen family members gathered for the holidays. We enjoyed the many spaces to spread out and play games. We loved the new gas fireplaces and large picture windows with amazing views!

We rented this home for a friend’s weekend & we hope this honest review can help others avoid the headaches we’ve endured.Leading up to our stay I asked a few questions about arrival- my final two reach outs were never answered/addressed. When walking in there was a pungent rotting smell; upon searching we found the smell was coming from a dead mouse in a trap under the oven. The mouse, in addition to the over abundance of both alive & dead large crickets in the living room & downstairs made it seem as if the place was not cleaned & prepped for our arrival.The spiral staircase going down to the basement didn’t seem structurally sound enough to be using- held up by a piece of rock & wood. Because of this we did not have anyone sleep in the basement. Nowhere in the listing (when we booked) was it advertised that the house was under renovation- exposed wires in the basement & two bedrooms on the main level had sliding glass doors that don’t have any deck/porch connected to them. The WiFi was not working. Only one burner worked & only half of the oven worked. The keypad lock going into the house was low battery with no reliable way to get in touch with the owner.We reached out to the owners via VRBO while still there with another night to go & they did not respond for over 24 hours (after we already left the property). When asking what they can do to make this situation better we were offered 100 refund “taken out of their cleaners wages.” We were extremely disappointed.

The layout of this home suited the needs of our family. The views were spectacular. The home was in the process of being renovated. We were not made aware of that. One mouse was spotted in the basement bedroom. The outdoor grill was difficult to light and was dirty.

The house with a fantastic view!

When we arrived we entered the living room looked out the window and there was a rainbow over the valley welcoming us. How could you not like the location. The house was so clean and welcoming. Very spacious. The kitchen had every appliance and gadget we needed. All in all we enjoyed our stay!

Perfect home base for men's golf weekend

This place was perfect for a group of 10 men enjoying a golfing weekend in this beautiful Mississippi River bluff region in southeastern Minnesota. The view is incredible, and we loved the many cool spaces (inside and outside) to hang out during our stay. The kitchen and dining room were very nicely updated. It appears that the owners are making ongoing improvements to the property, and we were able to enjoy the updated landscaping while sitting in one of the fun outdoor spaces. It's worth stating again, the views from this place are amazing!

Wabasha Skyline House

House totally met our needs. Parts were under renovation and unfinished. Bathrooms where dated and had no exhaust fans. House will be awesome when updated and finished.

Strategy Meeting

The house needs a lot of finishing. It is a work in progress. There were not 6 rooms like it said and we needed so one of our team slept on the floor in the family room. The left oven does not work. It is a really amazing view!
