We had the best time and the house was everything we hoped for. It was clean, roomy, and you can’t beat the location/views. Jason was a great host and very communicative throughout the entire process.
Sadie's Vista was by far one of the most wonderful places we have ever stayed! Everything in the house was completely spotless, anything you could possibly need was there, and the views are pure heaven. We especially loved walking to Trillium Woods for coffee and sitting on the deck relaxing before going down to the beach and having a fire at sunset. Jason the host was great! He provided so many local recommendations and checked in to see if we needed anything. We could not have asked for a better place to stay for our first visit to Michigan!
This was one of the best homes we have ever stayed. The home was very clean upon arrival with a welcome basket. The views of Lake Michigan were amazing. We saw the bald eagle fly by every day. The area upstairs has a beautiful view as well and the bed was so comfortable. Jason’s communication was amazing with recommendations of local places to visit. Pond Hill Farm has the best artisan pizza we’ve ever had and Tom’s Moms Cookies were so good. Thank you for a great home away from home.
The house was clean and bright with the full glass doors facing the lake. It looks exactly as the pictures show. We had fun going down the stairs to the beach. The woods across the road is walkable with marked paths weaving thru the trees, stacked wood and ground growth. I saw a deer! I will be returning for another few days!
This house is a home. The house was comfortable and provided ample relaxation areas from the deck to the living room to the kitchen. We enjoyed watching the pleasure boats, freighters, and eagles from the deck. The fall colors around the house were peak during our time!!! During the night time, the deck provided a dark sky viewing experience with the milky way highlighting the sky (note we planned our trip during the moonless phase of the month). We would see several, bright "shooting-stars" each evening while seated for the show. The beach area access was great (200 steps on a solid stairway). We found several Petosky stones along the water line and a couple of very large Yooperlites (Sodalite) rocks with UV flashlights after dark!!!
My husband and I stayed at this property back in 2020 (Covid era!) with our dog. We rented it from a local real estate agency -- not vrbo. Since then the property has changed hands, and has this guy made the upgrades! Beautiful kitchen and bathroom. Well equipped and appointed. Selling point for me was the traditional (dry) sauna. The deck is amazing for sunsets! And if you're up early enough, stunning moonsets as well. 200 steps down to the beach, so be prepared. But once you're there, the beach is lovely. Wildlife abounds. There was a nice welcome basket with goodies for both dogs and people. The butterfly garden with native plants in the front yard is a nice touch and does attract pollinators of all types. It is close to the road, though, so if you have a pet that roams, you might need to keep it on a leash. Great property. Highly recommend. Fully equipped with every tv streaming service, so we didn't miss a football game. Pond Hill Farm and Winery is nearby and not to be missed. Dog friendly, organic, good menu, tasty wine. We had the Red Rooster.
Great property with fantastic Lake Michigan sunset views. House was equipped with everything to make the stay enjoyable. Jason provided lots of information about the house as well as the surrounding areas. He was quick to respond to our inquiries. Loved having beach access!
Jason is a great host. The house was very clean. Kitchen is well stocked and beds comfortable. The view from the deck is great. We had rain while we stayed at his property so did not get down to the beach as much as we would have liked to.
Sadie’s Vista met all of our expectations…this home very clean & welcoming on arrival. View from deck of Lake Michigan is spectacular and only about 200 steps to beautiful beach. We trekked down at least once daily… totally worth the effort! This home had everything we needed, and Jason is a great host. Would definitely reserve this home again.
The house was well kept, orderly, and well equipped with everything you would need for entertaining adults and children alike. The property was amazing and the views from the deck and the beach were absolutely beautiful. The property manager was extremely helpful and provided all necessary details before the checkin process. He was also very responsive throughout the entire stay, and provided tons of additional information on things to do in the local area. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay with a great property manager and amazing views, I highly recommend staying here.
We went because we knew the area was beautiful. We discovered the house was equally beautiful. The bedrooms are designed for sweet dreams, the deck for morning coffee and sunset viewing. The kitchen is top notch with first class amenities. Jason was a superb host who obviously cares for his guests and his home. We wanted for nothing except for a longer stay.
Great house, amazing private beach, location right off of 119 but is quiet, secluded.
Short drive to Sturgeon bay dunes and beach, Pond Hill Farms, and Petoskey.
Jason is a great host, you can book this place with confidence, we'd love to stay again - thank you!
Wonderful lake home. Clean, spacious and accommodating. Close to town yet secluded and peaceful. Owner was extremely helpful in so many ways and very responsive. I highly recommend this home!
Had a wonderful stay. The setting is beautiful, right on M119. Beautiful view from deck and living/dining room. House was perfectly clean. It had everything we needed to cook a couple times during our stay. First floor bedroom worked well for elderly mom. Would love to go back!

Thank you sincerely from our family to yours! Return anytime guys!
Fabulous location to experience Northern Michigan. Easy to get to ski slopes, beautiful beach, great setup for 2 families to stay together. We stayed here last year and our kids asked to come back- we were all happy we did! Little things make it special- local restaurants like Pond Hill Farm, the sauna, the welcome basket with coffee, popcorn, etc., games, watching sunsets over the water, stars at night, and accessibility of the host for any questions. It's a beautiful house and getaway location!
This home has everything you need to make special memories with your family and friends! The home comes very well equipped and offers a relaxing stay. The location is awesome as the view is priceless! The owner is very friendly and responsive to all of your needs! Will definitely book again!
We had a spectacular stay. The house was just as advertised, perfectly situated on the tunnel of trees (M119) with great views of Lake Michigan. The kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of firewood for the wood burning fireplace. We had great communication with the host and appreciated the proactive approach. We hope to stay again in our future travels.
Sadie’s Retreat is spectacular! The location along the Tunnel of Trees is unmatched, and the home itself is beautifully designed with an updated kitchen, spacious layout, and spotless cleanliness. The beds are very comfortable, and the full wall of sliding doors opens onto a deck with breathtaking views of Lake Michigan. We enjoyed unforgettable sunsets, watched bald eagles soar, stargazed, and even caught the Northern Lights.Jason is a fantastic host—welcoming, thorough, helpful, and always responsive. It’s easy to see why every guest gives this stay a “10.” We couldn’t agree more!
