Try to arrive in daylight. It's a beautiful remote yet close to essentials location. I've been traveling around the East Coast for about 2 years now this is one of the best places I've ever stayed in. That is based on my type of traveling however I believe this place is good for any kind of traveling. Meaning that whether you like No Frills (ex.campfire) or to be spoiled (ex.kitchen) you get it here. And has everything you may need for relaxing. wonderful adventure spot. Opportunities for exploring Elk territory nearby.

We enjoyed our stay! We were in town for a Penn State football game and the location is about 15-17 minutes away from downtown. It is definitely an older cabin layout, but I anticipated that going in. There are a few things that could be updated on the outside. There were a couple small things that I mentioned to the owner, but nothing that impacted the stay. It was clean, can sleep 5, great location, very quiet, easy access to General Potters Highway.

The chalet was everything we could’ve expected and more! We enjoyed our girls trip in the woods and relished in the peace and quiet. Just one suggestion: a lock on the back door! Thank you, Sean!

Nice central location, but still feels secluded. Enjoyed the deer and the whip-poor-will. Very clean for a "cabin in the woods" property.

Lovely time away

We had a terrific stay at the cabin. It was very quiet and peaceful, really enjoyed the birdsong in the morning and the record player with the vintage oldies but goodies!

It was as advertised, outside state college, a good alternative for a football game weekend to hotels in town ... wish I could have spent more time actually at the cabin and area , as it's beautiful surroundings and cute cabin.

It was a neat a-frame. Older amenities. Surrounded by woods, lots of fallen trees, Not much of any yard. Propane smell overwhelming. Very small shower. No firewood. Wouldn’t recommend for a winter getaway. It did meet our needs though. Bed was comfortable.
