Very cute and spacious loft stay. The smell of fresh cut flowers wafted up from the flower shop below. Was nice and relaxing to get off the beaten path and engage with a local family run establishment.
Our second stay at the Flower Farm, a place both restful and intriguing. The apartment has everything you need; the surroundings are full of lush flowering plants both cultivated and wild. The owner brought out the farm’s horse and donkey for us to visit with, and we had a good time rummaging in the farm shop. Set in the quiet countryside of Belmont, the farm is only a short drive away from the bustle of Belfast.
Very spacious unique space. Beautiful cathedral ceilings and the use of natural wood gave it the feel of a large cabin. Quick ride into Camden very nice.
The rental is a spacious 2-bedroom apartment overlooking the grounds, greenhouses, and fields of the unique Leafsong farm, out in the quiet and leafy countryside southwest of Belfast. You may meet the peacocks, sheep, mule, and horse who also call this place home. Many treasures to be found at the flower shop on the premises.
Stacy and her children were absolutely lovely and were excellent at communicating with us. The accommodations were very spacious, a bit rustic and in a remote area. If you’re comfortable with a more rustic setting, then this is ideal. We were vacationing during an unusually hot week in August and there was a window AC unit available for our bedroom. The remainder of the apartment was very warm due to large windows and an excessive heat spell in Maine. The animals were gentle and extremely well cared for and loved.

I am disappointed to find a four star review by this guest that came to our farm stay, she clearly wasn’t looking to stay at a working farm. I personally, invested a significant amount of time in facilitating an excellent farm experience. This is a working farm, of course, in a rural area, but not remote at all. We are 15 minutes from the coast. We are 15 minutes from Belfast and 20 minutes from Camden on the Midcoast of Maine. I personally spent hours welcoming these guests, providing personally suited recommendations for their stay and taking time off from work to give them tours of our farm so that they would have a meaningful experience.
We had a wonderful stay at the Leafsong Family Farm. It was so fun being greeted by peacocks! Stacy and her daughter were very kind when we arrived and showed us to our stay over the flower shop. My girlfriend was so excited about the location and aesthetic. It’s super cozy and beautiful! Not too far from 2 close by towns for lunch and dinner. A simple pleasure we would enjoy again.
We had a nice stay. The farm stay was clean, bright and airy. The kitchen was small but serviceable. The bedrooms were spacious with comfortable beds. We appreciated being able to stay with our dogs and enjoyed day trips to nearby mid coast cities. Upsides: great location, except for a delayed check-in, the host was responsive, it was wonderful to have all the windows open and to enjoy beautiful weather. Downsides: the florist shop and workshop are open to the farm stay - while the hosts were responsive when we had questions or requests they didn’t talk to us much, so it sometimes felt like we were invading their space, there was limited space to wander outside as this is a working farm and some areas were understandably off limits and the roadway was narrow with a high speed limit. Overall, we had a very pleasant visit.
Stacey and her family have created a very comfortable, clean and spacious unit above the shop. They were wonderful and responsive. The animals are friendly. Make time to visit the farm store which is full of splendid garden goodies beautifully curated. The farm is centrally located close to several town centers. Thank you Leafsong Farm.
I had no trouble finding the property, and Stacy was soon there to greet me and show me around. The property is upstairs above a florist shop and VERY CLEAN AND QUIET. It is quite roomy, plenty big for two couples with large separated bedrooms. The oriental carpets add a unique hominess and softness. The only change I might make is to include a microwave with the well-equipped kitchen. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Just as-advertised. A somewhat-quirky (though quaint and cozy) space above the flower shop on a local flower farm.
My kids loved seeing/meeting the animals, which was a nice perk.
Kitchen could have used a few more basics (toaster or baking tray? coffee machine?), but felt "on theme" given the farmhouse feel.
Stacy was delightful, and very responsive.
The space is private enough (you can hear flower-shop "business" during the day coming up, but no interference in the private space, and after hours, it was all hours.
Thanks for a great stay!

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Friendly but needs some improvements
The owners were friendly and while this property might work fine for some, there are a few things I thought I should point out. The property was not as well kept as the photos indicate. The door lock to the loft above the plant shop, was broken. There were several spiders and spider webs throughout the loft. There is a balcony that overlooks a portion of the shop which means, there is very little privacy. Again, this might not bother all people.

Hi Alyssa,
This is an organic working farm, as the listing clearly indicates. I communicated to you on numerous occasions that I was here to assist with any needs you had. I am sorry you didn’t choose to communicate them during your stay, I would have gladly helped you.

Our stay at Leafsong Farm was perfect for us. The space in the loft above the farm store was lovely; the layout is open and spacious with lots of windows offering views of the farm, plant nursery and animals (chickens, geese, piglets, peacocks, etc.). The shop was stocked with unique plants and garden related items as well as locally made gift items and specialty foods. Nearby Belfast is a great town with quaint shops and restaurants, and lots to do. We hope to return soon!
Apartment is set above a lovely garden store on a beautiful family owned farm. The host, Stacy was welcoming and very helpful and accommodating. Had a wonderful time relaxing in the country and watching the farm animals. The apartment was beautifully renovated and had everything we needed. Our dog loved staying in this quiet peaceful location away from the hustle and bustle of Camden, which was a short drive away for visiting. Would definitely stay here again.
Upstairs from their flower shop. It's separate but still kind of open along stairwell and loft/stair landing so you can see what's going on downstairs and you can communicate with each other by talking loudly. But it's ok bc we were out most of the day; the store is only open from 10am to 6pm.
Otherwise exactly as in the pictures-- nature all around you, with 2 very large bedrooms with high ceilings, common area/dining area, small kitchen. Just needed a pair of kitchen scissors and a smaller pot, but had everything ekse
