Plenty of room and a large dining table which was convenient for us. Having direct access to the river is a great feature for my group as we are there specifically to fish. Easy / quick communication with our host was also very helpful. I certainly plan to come back next year.
Wonderful property! It was clean, comfortable and fully equipped to eat, sleep, and hang out. Gorgeous views! Property owners were very responsive and getting in was super easy!
Beautiful property inside and out. To be able to just walk down the stairs and start fishing (and catching) trout on the Madison River is heaven for these 3 old timers. Middle of the stay we had a bull moose walk through the yard and down to the river just a few yards from the back deck - amazing.
Perfect house for our family of 5. Excellent fishing behind the house and no towns for 30 miles in each direction. Just what we wanted. We will be back.
Well appointed house right on the river. Lots of osprey and Eagle watching. Fishing was good when the wind dyed down. Road noise May bother some people, not an issue when out on the back deck overlooking the river.
My husband snd I really enjoy staying in the yellow house because it’s very convenient to all the best fly fishing spots including right our back. It’s roomy to spread out and beds are very comfortable. Outstanding views and easy access in and out. We love the big fire pit and get lots of use of grill on back deck. We even got a surprise visitor after grilling some halibut one night. That was a black bear looking for leftovers in and around grill. He knocked over some utensils which we heard while eating our dinner and flipped on porch lights in time to see him take off. Anyway fun times and great memories staying on the Madison river. We hope to make it back next year as the yellow house is our favorite place to stay.
We enjoyed our stay. Home is as advertised. Clean and well supplied. Right on the river. Convenient to Slide Inn, Driftwater, and Grizzly Bar. Only drawback is It’s close to the highway so occasional noise from passing trucks. Great house for a family or fishing group. We are grateful that we were able to stay at this property.
Outstanding home on the Madison river with breathtaking views.. My husband and I fished all over but really enjoyed fishing out our back door the most. It was very peaceful on deck next to river and we had some great evening fires in the large fire pit. This home is well equipped with many extras. The master bedroom bed (only one we slept on) was extra cozy and we had plenty of room to spread out. Tons of fun and we cant wait to stay there again!
We stayed here for three nights traveling into yellowstone each day. It did seem like a long drive at the end of the day but the distance was not hidden in the description. I think I underestimated how much driving we would be doing inside yellowstone also. The beds were comfortable and the house was spacious. The Ospreys were in the nest by the river which was exciting and the views are gorgeous! There were too many mosquitoes to sit on the back patio in the evening though and the windows in the sunroom were pretty foggy. It was great having a washing machine and dryer! It does not have AC, the only time I noticed though was in the evenings. We had to sleep with the windows open in the upstairs bedroom to keep it cool enough which does let in alot of road noise. I'm not a light sleeper so it didn't bother me. I did have to contact the seller once while staying and she wrote me back quickly.
Love staying at the Yellow House! Host was so attentive and responsive to all of our needs prior to arriving and during our stay. It can’t get any better with access to the Madison River for fly fishing. A fly fishermen paradise. Totally awesome! The house has everything you need. It’s your home away from home. Location is great to either West Yellowstone or Ennis. Will definitely come back again next summer! Thank you for a wonderful experience.
This place was simply amazing! From the serenity of the early mornings to all the stars in the sky at night, our stay here at the Madison House was simply amazing! Our host was in daily communication with us and helped us out where to go and what to see! The beds were amazing and the house had all we needed to cook our morning meals. From moose running along the river to mule deer in our yard in the mornings, this truly was the vacation I expected. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone. Thanks so much for the memories! We will be back!
