We welcome long term stays: For longer term please inquire with your details for rate. Please ensure that your booking requests includes the number of people that will be staying as well as any dogs. Rates vary with length of stay, season and number of people. Max 4 people including children.
This place is luxurious and immaculate- we make every effort to provide everything you may need and to erase traces that others have been there before you. Our cleaning protocol is extensive and it has been noted by all our guests.
Despite our high standards we welcome some dogs when they are accompanied by thoughtful owners. For details please read below. We cannot accommodate cats, including outdoor cats.

This place is spacious and "over the top luxurious and clean" - this has been an ongoing feedback from previous guests. Families and large groups have stayed here comfortably.
This bright, modern suite is the first floor of a house, and was first professionally renovated and soundproofed in the Spring of 2012. The suite is all above ground with full-height ceilings, spacious, and very bright and spacious.
The suite includes two "wings" - always rented to same group/family. Each "wing" with one bedroom and one bathroom - so that two couples, or members of a larger family, may have privacy if they wish. One of the wings also has a small single bed perfect for children and guests. The suite is always rented to one couple or family.
The entrance is separate, facing a private and fully-fenced garden. There are only two steps up to enter the suite.
The master bedroom has a king bed and the second bedroom has a queen size bed with a high end mattress and wonderful, soft sheets.
With hardwood floors and tile throughout, the suite is fully furnished and equipped with high quality bedding, towels, plates, cutlery (Henkles, Denby) in a warm, modern style. There are dishes for many guests, and varied cookware to prepare meals for a large family (plenty of pots including large pots and frying pans; plenty of bakeware and all essential small appliances for easy cooking)The suite has its own laundry (modern front loading machines), built-in vacuum system. The patio and backyard are fenced and private with furniture to relax and enjoy the birds and the flowers.
The home is one kilometer from beach access, and 1.4 kilometers from Mount Douglas Park. Downtown is only a 15 min drive. UVIC is only 4 Km away. The street nearby (Ash Road) is a main Bus route for an easy ride to Uvic and Downtown Victoria.
ABOUT bringing a dog: We love dogs and believe that it is possible to bring a dog and not cause any damage. We require pet deposit and a pet fee to cover the extra extensive cleaning and washing required to erase all traces. In addition we use special washable covers in our sofas (not meant for dogs to sit on but to capture any fur that lands on sofas). If you wish to bring your dog(s), please email us with details of breed and age. Thoughtful dog owners will gladly agree to:
- Have the dog groomed shortly before arrival to reduce shedding and possibility of scratching floors
- Will not leave dog alone in the house unless it stays relaxed (fearful dogs will bark continuously and scratch the door). If you feel comfortable leaving your dog alone, it must be restricted to the entrance hall and laundry area. This will save furniture from possible chewing.
- Will pick up daily if dog uses backyard (which it is welcome to roam around)
- Will not leave dog attended in backyard if there is a change of digging. If dog digs, owner repairs the damage immediately and will not leave dog unattended in backyard.
We cannot accommodate cats and :
- Dogs who are not house trained
- Puppies who are still learning to stay quiet, being house trained and tend to chew on things and furniture
- Dogs who tend to bark often even when owners are at home (we don't mind occasional barking)
- Medium and large young dogs who have a lot of energy and like to run inside the house. That is normal, however, our concern is with to keep our beautiful wood floors from being scratched.

Has everything you need!

This was a fully equipped suite and the yard is fantastic and great for sitting and pets. It has everything you could need and more. Beds are very comfortable, this was incredible. it is a very comfortable stay complete with deer in the front yard throughout the day.

We had the opportunity to stay here (6 adults and our pup) and the cleanliness of the suite was outstanding. We didn't have to do very much cooking this trip- but have to say this is one of the best stocked VRBO kitchens we have stayed at. Highly recommend!

Perfect couple's get away

Beautiful house in a quiet neighborhood (yet close to everything). The host is very easy to get in touch with and offers a personalized welcome. The house is fully equipped and more. Very nice calm backyard. You even get to see deers on the front lawn daily! We were in town for a few days and a wonderful, relaxing stay.

Fernanda was a wonderful host! She made sure that we had everything we needed, and she was easy to get a hold of if we had questions. Her place is lovely, just like the pictures. Our family of four had plenty of room. It’s always nice to find units that offer three beds since our teens need separate places to sleep. Highly recommended!

Torquay Drive Experience

We had a wonderful stay at the red door on Torquay Drive. Super clean with everything you you could ever need. Really comfortable beds. When we did have a small issue all it took was a quick text and everything was resolved. Couldn’t have been happier. Plus there was a back patio to die for.

The perfect spot for families

Our stay was fantastic at this home away from home! We needed temporary accommodation before moving into our new place and it had everything a family could need. Great care has been taken to ensure it is well-equipped and spotless. Communication before and during our stay was excellent. The patio and garden area are lovely and provide a pleasant place to eat outside and watch the kiddo play. The location was ideal for us and so close to many beaches and walking trails. You will not be disappointed staying here! Thanks to Fernanda and Steve for being such wonderful and caring hosts.

This was a wonderful Suite! Very clean, comfortable and spacious with a lovely backyard Oasis. Our Golden absolutely loved the yard. Fernanda was a very gracious host. The suite is great and served our family well. We stayed in the suite while our house was being renovated. We are not from the area of town, but found it really easy to get around. We enjoyed the views of Mt Doug from the mater bedroom and the deer in the front yard. The suite is very well equipped, we were not lacking in anything.

Outstanding Experience

Best VRBO where we have ever stayed. Excellent neighborhood with fantastic hosts. The unit, especially the kitchen, was perfectly equipped with every appliance imaginable. Even the knives were sharp which is one of our personal tests! The bed was super comfortable, the bedding deluxe and there were bathrobes too! The backyard is lovely and we enjoyed many of our meals outdoors. The neighborhood is extremely dog friendly and there are many green spaces and parks all in walking distance. A quiet beach is a mere 12 minute walk from the house and hiking is everywhere. We can’t say enough good things about the premises, location and the hosts - a 5 star..maybe even a 6!!!!!

Suite in Victoria

We stayed 3 nights including my wife and me and our son and his daughter. The separation of two bedrooms each with their own bathrooms, and a common living room/kitchen worked great. We were together, yet had our privacy. The suite is well appointed and very clean, and having access to the lovely backyard and patio in the summer would be a great bonus. Our only concern was that while the listing showed average of $110/night, the actual cost was in excess of $200/night. There was a $150 cleaning fee, $25 for our small dog, and additional booking charges plus taxes. We left it too late for booking or once we were advised of the full cost we would have searched for a less expensive alternative.

We booked this unit via website and had only seen it after we officially moved from Ontario. Found the layout, furnitures and all other stuff as it was mentioned to us. We had been calling to Owners to get some details prior to our move and they had been always kind to accept our calls and very helpful. House has been nicely furnished and kept. Very clean unit with a separate room for the kid. We also had our guests lived with us for quite a long time but the unit provides that privacy. Nice backyard and lots of fruit trees that we enjoyed whole summer. Walking distance to school and the bus route to downtown made the life easy. Overall well furnished and a nice unit. Pleasabt stay. Loved the owners, they are great people.

My title seems a bit strange considering my sister and I were there to accompany our mothers passing Fernanda made us feel so welcome. Her home reminded me of our moms when she lived in Port Alberni: the very very slight musty smell, the secludedness, as well as all the deer!!! It made the grieving so much more bearable plus all the things that need to get done in such a situation The house is exactly as pictured and described We are ourselves(me and my wife) VRBO home renters and we have high standards for our guests and it seems that Fernanda does as well, it’s incredible…all the things you have in your home, well it’s there I could not say enough about this place other than I would have stayed longer if I could and will return in a heartbeat if we come back someday to Victoria Thx so much Fernanda, our moms passing was made easier because of the gift of your lovely home and your welcoming Stephan

Roomy, Quiet, and, Clean, everything you need, with instructions!

This room was perfect. We had four adults and three children (15, 10, 8) and all had comfortable sleeping arrangements. We did bring an airbed for the 8 year old, but there was a second couch that could have worked also. This property is conveniently located, very quiet and a short walk to a beacutiful beach. The welcome packet had all the information needed for operation of everything. There were even notes, laminated, that were attached to things in the exact right spots to let you know where blankets, extra pillows, propane tanks, etc. were located. The kitchen is fully stocked with EVERYTHING you will need. We actually bought some steaks and grilled in teh backyard amongst teh very pretty flowers. Made for a great night. My absolute only complaint was the wifi kept dropping on us, had I not been in school, it wouldn't have even been a concern. It all worked out in the end though. I will definitley consider this location for my future visits to the island. Thanks for a great time!

Fabuleux!

La propriété est magnifique à tout point de vue. Elle a été au delà de nos attentes. La maison est telle que présentée sur le site, si pas mieux. On a été impressionné par le souci du détail dans cette propriété. Rien n'est laissé au hasard. Ustensiles de cuisine au complet, serviettes, literie... de haute qualité. Le transport en commun vers le centre ville est à quelques pas de la maison. Stephen & Fernanda sont des hôtes très exceptionnels. On y a passé des moments très agréables. J'y retournerai et je recommande fortement.

Our accommodations located on a very quiet street were immaculate. The attention to detail was exceptional. The kitchen was well stocked with high quality dishes, cutlery and cooking utensils. Spring Break 2022

Everything was excellent! The house was very clean, well stocked and every detail was taken care of. Fernanda & Stephen are my organization idols!! More importantly, they are lovely people. We ran into them twice for a few minutes during our stay. Communication was always timely and logistics (e.g. keyless entry) were seamless. They were exceptionally kind to us when we had an unexpected mishap. I would definitely recommend this VRBO.

Perfectly met all our needs & wants!

This was the first time we stayed here and it definately will not be our last! Not only was the location perfect to visit our daughter at university but it was walking distance to the beach and Mt. Doug park. The layout of the apartment was great and having a bathroom for my teenage girls was awesome. It was comfortable and super quiet. The kitchen was the best I have ever encountered with rental properties. It was not just fully stocked but with high end / quality dishes and cookware. My chef husband was super happy and my daughters loved having a Ninja blender. So many extras were found from relaxing bath items to ziplock bags. Everything has been thought of. There is lots of room and everything was very clean and organzied. We can't wait to be back! Hopefully next time the weather will allow us to enjoy the beautiful yard and Weber BBQ more!

The overall experience was just beyond our expectation. The property is extremely clean and very comfortable. Cookware, brand name towels, lotions, and luxurious beddings are readily available. Only one area improvement is about the wifi connections.

Fernanda and Stephen warmly welcomed us when we arrived. Their place was comfortable, bright, well ventilated, and equipped with everything we needed. It was a good size for our family and friends who visited. And … we loved the pears from the tree in the front garden 😍 We highly recommend it.
