We had a wonderful relaxing weekend celebrating our anniversary. This cabin is the most well equipped Vrbo that we have ever stayed at. The hosts are excellent. They provided us with quick answers to any questions we had.

Thank you Doug. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed our Cabin and that you had a wonderful anniversary there.
Wonderful stay at Whispering Pines! The property and amenities are well kept and who can beat a private sauna & dock as well as a separate 'game room' cabin?! We made great use of the paddle boat, row boat and fishing poles as well as the grill and fire pit. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

Hello Andrea,
Thank you very much for your review.
Very much appreciated.
I'm glad to hear that you had a great time at the cabin.
loved the lake, great layout of the house, and the sauna was the cleanest one I've seen in a VRBOOnly nitpick is that the dock is getting fairly weathered and brittle, probably needs some repair or refurbishment

Hello James thank you for your suggestion. We have been trying to replace the dock. It has been difficult to find someone to do it. We have found someone and we are on their schedule but they can not start until spring. Thanks again.
Great property, so many wonderful amenities. The game cabin was really fun for us. Unfortunately, we didn’t use the sauna but it looked really nice. Owner very responsive. The lake is smaller and wasn’t really usable, maybe just the time of year.

Thank you Jessica we are glad to hear that you enjoyed our Cabin.
My husband and I came here after our wedding and the lights they have lined along the walkway to the house made it magical. Its the perfect little size and has everything you could need, along with it being on the lake!
Our stay was just what the doctor ordered. This is a peaceful, secluded little gem of a hideaway. We spent most of our time taking turns reading in the hammock, paddling in the lake and cooking and eating outdoors on the grill and lovely patio.
This place is great!
This was our second stay and it was even better than the first. Truly picture perfect view, amazing property & awesome hosts. The beautifully cozy cabin was stocked with everything needed! Great 25th anniversary trip, thank you Olga!!
What a great little lake cabin. Has everything you could possibly need + it’s waterfront! Enjoyed the fire pit a couple times and the boat once- great place to come back to when on our most recent work trip. Thanks!!!
We had such a nice time at Olga’s property and she was such a friendly and communicative host. Parked Saturday and didn’t leave until check out Monday. The cabin(s) had everything you needed, all you need to bring is yourself and some groceries. And I got to row a boat for the first time!! The only thing I would suggest ahead of booking is taking the mobility of you and your guests into account as there are quite a bit of stairs involved. Both my friend and myself would definitely be happy to visit again!
This property had everything we could need or want and more. The main cabin is cute and cozy, and the separate game room provided many fun times. The outdoor space and multiple level decks with the lake view was the perfect spot for dinners on the grill. Olga was very helpful and always quick to respond to any questions. This was the perfect spot to spend our long 4th of July weekend!
Stayed here for two nights with our kids and we all loved it. Was easy to find, easy to access, simple check in and check out. Having the dock and the boat was great, we caught perch, blue gill and bass. The water was warm and the hammock was a great napping spot. Was also close to a clamming beach which we took advantage of. Had all the amenities that one could ask for. Thanks to the hosts, if we ever come back to WA, we would stay again.

The property made untrue statements. It states 1 bedroom and sleeps 7. There is only 1 loveseat pullout and two beds n a loft with an unstable ladder. We could not stay and when I contacted hosts they yelled at me. They kept on about a second loft(not in description. We could not stay. I am awaiting refund. Worst experience!the entry is a huge walk/climb with unsafe stairs. All together incredibly false advertising.

Lovely cabin
Cabin was clean and lovely. However a hot tub was listed in amenities and there was no hot tub there. Also listed air conditioning but it was not working. We interacted with owners and found them to be gracious and very kind people. They apologized for confusion about the hot tub and immediately fixed it.

We are really sorry for the mistake about the hot tub that was listed, but still never shown in pictures.
You had never mentioned to us about the AC not working.
It is a portable AC that it needs to be set by the guest when need it.
You had mentioned to us having troubles with the AC, we could have send someone to set it up for you.
It was beautiful. A great place to stay if you want peace and quiet. Cabin was fully equipped..everything was there as if it was my own home. Books, games, music, ..all the must haves being on vacation. Communication was great! Olga responded quickly when emailed....we were looking for certain things to start the fire pit! The only thing....heat was much heated. We came in and the place was cold. Had to keep our coats on for awhile. Suggest maybe heating it up before guests come during winter? It took about a day to get warm. We stayed for 3 nights...finally got to a comfortable warmth when we left. All in all i recommend this cabin...going to try to book during spring or summer..plus a great place if you have kids!

Great Host, bad circumstances
We arrived late to our VRBO, and when we went down to go inside someone else was there. I immediately was able to contact Olga, and we found out that the app double booked the property. She worked through the night with VRBO to get help for my family. We received our refund that day from her. She then called back and offered her home in Seattle to us. She then messaged and offered us a discount the next time we are in the area. Her professionalism and kindness was. It unnoticed. The cabin, from the outside, looked perfect. Nice quiet, safe neighborhood. Hope to return and enjoy the property one day. Thank you so much for caring about our family!
The cabin is sweet but there are limitations to consider. First, the great: peaceful, feels isolated, well-equipped, super clean, the bathroom and shower are comfortable, great water pressure and hot water, laundry is nice, kitchen has everything you need to cook great meals, windows have great view and ventilation. The not-so-good: the path is long and steep - pretty, but watch your step; the access to the loft bedroom is by sturdy but steep ladder and the loft ceiling is VERY low. The loft is very quaint and lovely place to sleep with very comfortable beds, but you can’t stand up so everything you do has to be done doubled over. Also, the dock out to the lake was tipped badly (one of the styrofoam pads holding up had slipped). All that said, it’s a sweet little cabin, the hosts are nice and easy to communicate with (I wasn’t so easy to reach, unfortunately, as it took them 5 attempts to reach me and remind me my time was up, lol; I thought our reservation was one more day but totally my mistake!). Recommend this place without reservation if you’re physically flexible and are looking for a nice, quiet feeling of lake isolation,
Reviewer Tracie B’s details of the cabin is spot on.
There are many fine lakes in Washington, but unfortunately, Collins Lake is not one of them. The surroundings look depressed, like a hurricane descended on the lake and a number of surrounding owners simply chose not to rebuild.
This is no knock on Olga’s place. Her cabin, amenities and dock are top quality.
I booked this cabin for my daughter and son-in-law the night of their wedding and the next night. It's a very cute tiny cabin they enjoyed the peace and quiet
My family had the best time! Lots of fishing in the boat and right off the dock. Cozy comfortable cabin and room for all of us. Tons of amenities not even listed!

About the host
Hosted by Olga L Gonzalez
Hello, We are Jay and Olga. Husband and Wife. Jay is originally from Michigan and Olga is originally from Colombia. Jay loves fishing and Olga loves Salsa music and Salsa dance. We are third generation Veterans. We purchase this cabin in 2013, and at that time it was nothing but an empty shack. We have worked very hard to make the cabin what it is today. We call the Cabin of the paradise. We would love our Guests enjoy our cabin as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
Lake front very peaceful. There is a pedal boat and 12 ft. aluminum rowboat for guest use, as well as a fire pit. We are a short drive from Tacoma and Seattle and the Hood Canal
What makes this property unique
We have recently updated our property and added a new cabin that has been set up as a game room that has a loft with a queen mattress. It is secluded, beautiful and tranquil. You can enjoy the board games, the pool table/ping pong table/air hockey table and the dartboard. We have two beautiful balconies, one on each cabin, to enjoy the breeze and relax. There is an outdoor BBQ grill, and a modern smokeless firepit. Also, there are two boats you can use to enjoy the lake. One pedal boat and one rowboat.
