This rustic 2 bedroom cabin is located on large private pond. We are pet friendly with all the modern convenience, fully stocked kitchen, 50" flat screen smart TV, washer/dryer and fast internet. Outdoor fireplace/grill is the perfect hangout just steps from deck overlooking the large pond. 4 person paddle boat is there for use during your stay. Conveniently located just a couple miles from Mt. Vernon with shopping, dining, brewery and entertainment.

Comfy cabin close to everything!

We went for a girls weekend for my daughter's 18th birthday. We had a great time! We love the hot tub and the pond. Everything in downtown is so close and easy to access. We had a very comfortable stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice property close to town.

Property was clean, and everything was provided that you could possibly need during your stay. Owners are very thoughtful. The complimentary wine and pumpkin bread was a very nice touch indeed. Property was close to town so everything was a short drive. Wished it had been warmer to enjoy the outdoor fireplace and pond which were all very nice. My only complaint would be that there was alot of road noise, expecially in the A.M. as the cabin was really close to the road, but all in all wasnt a deal breaker for us. It suited our needs and we had a great stay.

Perfect base camp.

We stayed for a week while visiting family. It was a perfect stay/base camp. House is exactly as advertised and my teens loved fishing, paddle boating and relaxing in the hot tub. We took our Boston Terrier and he enjoyed walking around the pond and in the surrounding neighborhoods. We even played some of the provided board games on a rainy evening. Thanks so much for opening your home to us.

Shimmering Pond Cabin

This was our second stay with Al and Sue. We had stayed in their other cabin last year. We loved everything about our stay and the property. We are definitely going to book another stay with them. They are the best property owners we have had out of all the VRBO properties we have rented. Ten out of ten!
