We have been to Estes at least once a year for the last 15 years. This was one of the best places we have stayed. Beautiful cabin with wonderful views, close to downtown and Safeway. Direct route to RMNP. We will definitely be staying here again in the future.
Beautiful home in an ideal location to downtown and the park. The house was spotless and incredibly charming. The hosts were very attentive and available to promptly answer questions.
This homey house is our favorite Estes Park getaway by far. I think this was our 4th stay here and we are completely spoiled by this perfect place and ideal location. We will keep coming here as long as it is available!
This is a gorgeous and comfortable home. It was incredibly clean and the kitchen was well stocked with all the equipment you could possibly want. We enjoyed hanging out on the patio with its views of the nearby mountains and the elk, which passed through the yard! I highly recommend Rockledge and can’t wait to visit again.
Rockhedge is a beautiful & cozy home nestled among the mountains of Estes Park. Amenities include a large wood burning fireplace with lots of firewood provided, a fully stocked kitchen with upscale appliances, dishes, glassware, spices & condiments, coffee beans with a grinder, and an abundant book collection. The decor is comfortable and inviting, and mountain views are in every window. Boulders surrounding the property provide privacy, and the Owners and Property Manager are helpful and courteous. We will definitely book Rockhedge on our next Estes trip!
We loved staying at Rockhedge. The home was pristine, the surroundings peaceful, and everything we needed was provided. The architecture and furnishings are stunning. We would return in a heartbeat.
We had a wonderful stay at Rockhedge! It’s beautifully decorated and feels like home! The close access to RMNP and Estes Park was so convenient. We were thrilled one morning to watch the elk saunter by!! We were so comfortable as a family of five adults and the house is well stocked and the only thing you need to supply is your food! Thanks you for a wonderful experience!
The home was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was well stocked to suit our needs, very clean, and in a great location. Thank you for sharing your lovely historical home with us!
We loved our stay at Rockhedge. The pictures really don’t do the home justice. They’ve done a great job of maintaining the historic home. The property is so convenient to RMNP as well as the main drag in Estes Park. Our boys loved the stay too. We spotted a marmot a few times on the rocks outside and a massive buck on our last morning. Definitely recommend and would stay here again.
I am an East Coast girl from Connecticut who moved to Colorado with my family when my father was employed by IBM in Boulder 1966! I graduated from Estes Park High School and continue to love this community and the beauty of Rocky Mountain National Park. I realize what a great privilege it is to be located next to one our our nation's treasured parks!
Why they chose this property
My husband, Mark, and I lived in Santa Barbara for many years. While enjoying our time there, our attention was drawn to the Craftsman Style of Architecture including Prairie Style and the California Bungalow. We fell in love with this style of home and knew that someday we would find a property suitable for us to restore with the artistic integrity of this form of architecture. We knew it was Rockhedge as soon as we visited the home. Built in 1921 and situated on a beautiful lot; this was the perfect place for us to restore in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
What makes this property unique
This home is warm and welcoming, thoughtfully renovated with attention to detail. This is a favorite quote of our's by Frank Lloyd Wright: 'A Building should appear to grow easily from its site and be shaped to harmonize with its surroundings if nature is manifest there, and if not, try to make it as quiet, substantial, and organic as she would have done were the opportunity hers.'
We hope that you feel at home here. We are happy to share our interpretation of the Arts & Crafts architecture and philosophy with you. We know that you will enjoy the natural surroundings of this home, the easy access to the shops and restaurants of our charming mountain village and our spectacular Rocky Mountain National Park!
Welcome to Rockhedge.
