No need to watch tv when you have the most beautiful. Have coffee and stare out for hours. The hot tub was our kids favorite part with viewing the sunset and stars before bed.
Views were breathtaking & our stay was okay. The home itself was okay but very noisy, creaking every step we took. There were numerous dirty dishes, we washed everything before utilizing it. The hot tub had so much clorine in it we weren't able to enjoy it. The owner did communicate promptly with me & overall we enjoyed our stay.
My book club came up to the mountain to read our new release book and it was beyond perfect for us, we couldn’t get the temp right in the house not sure it was user error but we had a magical time it was absolutely perfect!
The house is perfectly located: convenient to town and RMNP, yet feels like private mountainside getaway. Comfortable beds provide excellent sleep after a day of hiking and wildlife/sight-seeing.
This is a comfortable house set up a hill from the centre of town, giving wonderful views of the Rockies. It is a short uphill drive on a single track gravel road (shared with only 2 other houses) from a paved road, and then uphill on the house driveway to park right outside (you have to reverse back down).
The house is comfortable and clean, with modern household appliances. I particularly enjoyed the coffee-maker, best out of the 4 houses I have stayed in on my 3 week trip!
The views were amazing and location very convenient to town and RMNP. The newly installed AC was much appreciated, and we also enjoyed both the hot tub and fire table. Property manager was very responsive.
We felt the property was well situated and roomy. However there were not enough dining chairs inside for our family of 5 and because it was so hot we were unable to use the outdoor seating. The upstairs lounge was unbearable to sit in when the sun was shining through as it was burning hot and there are no curtains or blinds on the windows. Unfortunately the outside downstairs seating was right next to the rubbish bin that was padlocked so we weren’t able to move it to make for a more pleasant seating experience.
I was surprised to see the amazing view from every direction on the property. The home was perfect, spacious, clean and has supplies like salt, sugar, etc to paper towels extra toiletries. It is perfectly located in Estes Park with short driving distance to everything. We were there in April and had a severe storm system came thru that covered the tops of the mountains in heavy snow. The wind gust would reach 100 mph. We pulled everything inside that could get blown away. The house stayed stable through the entire two day storm. Nice and private from other local homes.
We reserved this home for our family Christmas (6 adults) and really enjoyed our stay. The property is clean and a picture window with an unobstructed view of the mountains and the valley below. Located just up the hill from Downtown Estes, but far enough away that it is quiet.
The kitchen had all the dishes, pans, utensils, etc that you would need for your stay (although all the knives were dull so you may need to bring your own if you want to cut meat).
A couple of recommendations:
- Have an AWD/four wheel drive If you are visiting in the snowy season. The roads getting to the property are steep and can be icy.
- There is a TV for DVD's, but if you want to watch any live tv, bring something that can stream and connect to an HDMI cable. The WIFI was very good.
Overall, very nice stay for what we needed.
The stay was better than what we expected. The view from the patio was amazing. Being able to see a sky full of stars it was so hard to stop looking. Everything is so close shopping, eating and hiking. This is an experience I will never forget. I look forward to coming back to the same house.
Second stay at this home with fabulous views and a feeling of seclusion yet right in town.
The sunny afternoons on this deck are the perfect way to relax after a hike. The home itself functions just fine though bathrooms and living space are a little small. If views are your priority, this home will not disappoint.
What a wonderful property and location. Situated just outside of downtown Estes Park made it easy to get to everything, but far enough away to avoid the crowds. The views of Rocky Mountain National Park right off the deck were breathtaking every day. I would definitely return again.
This house is remarkably situated. It's nestled on a hillside with a gorgeous front deck view of Rocky Mountain National Park. Downtown Estes Park is literally a 3 minute drive away, but you feel like you're removed from the town in the hills.
