Comfortable and lovely cottage just steps from the beach. Host was very helpful for check in and parking, and left extra blankets for us on the porch on a cool evening so we could enjoy being outdoors. Loved it!

Great location and perfect amenities for our stay!

The location to the beach as well as our favorite restaurants and shops was perfect. We parked the car and never had to drive again to access these things - even a grocery store just across the street! The front porch was our go to place with our morning coffee and evening beverage. I highly recommend this cute cottage for anyone wanting a nice little beach get-away.

Location, location, location Can walk everywhere. Grocery store, taco bar, Chipotle, bank, ice cream, and so much more. The beach is right outside! Communication was fantastic, friendly and helpful! Highly recommend!

Cozy house with easy access and great amenities

We booked this house last minute for our fall break trip. It was great for so many reasons!! They allowed dogs, was one house off the sand, had great views of the beach/ocean/jetty from the patio, easy access to grocery and food options, plus there was a fire pit, sauna, and hot tub! The house was clean and well stocked with all the basic amenities. Drew the owner was very communicative and friendly.

This property is exactly as described. We absolutely loved staying here as a family including our two dogs! Everything was clean and worked including the A/C which was much needed during our time there. The best part is the locations, it's unbeatable! Best location!!!

We rented the 3 bed 3 bath back house as we really needed the 3 separate bedrooms for our party. We also rented the parking space right next to the back door which was a life saver. The property and location were amazing, just steps from the beach and a comfy upstairs deck with a view of the ocean, and only a block from stores and restaurants. Excellent location!!

The location is excellent however, the house itself was okay at best. There are no closets or drawers to put your clothes, The firepit was not functional, and make sure to bring additional cookware if you are planning on cooking. Overall, not bad.

Slice of Perfection!

Best property I have ever stayed at in Newport Beach! Ideal location, easy to access the property and everything you need is within walking distance. Plus, it is literally steps to the sand. The property is clean with all the necessary amenities in the kitchen and too outdoor shower for rinsing after the beach, comfortable beds, and ample beach towels. Drew was helpful and communicative. I can't wait to come back!

A gem of a home. The location can’t be beat and I really appreciated that this cottage is clean and bright. It is pretty bare bones as far as extras ( no ice maker or trays to make ice, no wine opener (although I added one), I did not find an iron or extra pillows so I bought a couple and added to the house). There are plenty of bath towels and beach towels ( no beach chairs ) and two coffee makers and plenty of coffee. My adult son went to use the hot tub but it was turned off so we figured the power must get cut to it after 10 pm to try and keep noise down which I understand but we were not informed of this. I realize everything is online these days but an information sheet in the house would be welcomed. It was warm for Newport and we were glad that there was an A/C unit and, because the house is small,it cools it off quickly. Would rent again and now that I know there is a larger back house I look forward to renting both for more room during future visits. Drew was a pleasure to work with and he was there when we checked into the house.

I am sorry to say this was not my favorite trip. Location is a main beach drop off so the traffic in and out was continuous. Probably wouldn't bother a very young crowd. Beds are mush! No closet space at all, not beach essential s which would have been nice. Sorry just can't say much good here

We do not provide beach amenities to avoid loss, damage or clutter, but there are rental services available across the street. Newport Beach Beautiful but our stay had challenges

No barbecue operation - manager stated they were having difficulty with its operation. Supplies (towels) and dish-ware were not enough for our family. There were five in our group, and the space can sleep up to six, but there were not enough glasses nor coffee cups for five. Parking was very much a challenge as the site had stated. First day we had to park several blocks away.

We are grateful for the feedback provided by Sharon and her family, including her husband, daughter, and guest. I am pretty sure this is the husbands feedback as I spoke with him on the phone and it matches his response from the beginning. We had offered them parking and assistance in setting up the new barbecue, but they declined and instead expressed their desire to write about it. Additionally, they mentioned their plan to dine out. Despite giving them the privilege of an early arrival by three hours, he seemed determined to find faults. It required significant effort on their part to achieve this negative perspective. Nevertheless, we genuinely appreciate their feedback. In response, we have taken their suggestions into consideration and ordered more cups and glasses to ensure an ample supply for our guests. We also want to assure you in the future guests that there are and will continue to be plenty of towels. We have successfully set up the new barbecue in its new designated spot, allowing our guests to enjoy cooking while taking in the breathtaking ocean view. Priceless. I tend to view always seeing the glass as full. A few steps from the most beautiful beach, clean home, steps to everything and host who does make the extra effort. Thankfully, we do not share any different outlook and are grateful for the positive experiences we encounter. I will continue to focus on the positive from this experience and deflect the rest. All the best. 4 stars without one positive thing to say. Oh well. Go figure. Thank God we all have a choice on how to do life!!! See you soon. We will be here to continue to improve.

Great Getaway

We had a wonderful time. Drew was very helpful and quick to responding to any questions. Home was the perfect location for us. The outdoor seating area was where we spent most of our time if not on the beach. Home is the perfect location. Walking distance from shopping center, food places and local bars. I'd recommend adding some additional cooking utensils (mixing bowls, additional cooking pans etc.) We'd much rather cook then eat out, so we had to make some adjustments, but make it work with the utensils stocked. Also, although there is public street parking, it's very hard to get a spot in the busier months. I'd recommend including the parking or lowering the cost per night. But definitely a must have when booking this home. Overall, great place! We'd definitely rebook in the future! Thanks!

Kristina, Thank you for staying with us. It was great to have you with us for your daughters 18 year old celebration. The front house is newly remodeled. I appreciate the suggestion to order more cooking supplies. We do have most of the items you mentioned and they are all new. I am not sure why they were not seen in the cabinets. It is true the 3 bedroom 3 back home has many more items such as, paella pan, lobster pot, panini maker, and more. Some of the more obscure items you don’t find in a short term vacation rental. I will stock it up. I love to cook also. I will spend tonight filling up the cabinets with everything someone will need. There is parking. It is good to reserve. Summer time especially. We are in the most prime area in Newport Beach. If anyone ever needs help to park please text while staying at the home. We can assist in finding parking for multiple guest even on 4th of July. Once most people arrive they never leave. It is true I believe every owner here wishes they have more parking. All the best! Drew

Great Location!

This is a great location for someone who does not need a lot of extras. The casa is as described, very simple, and is stocked with basic supplies. Drew has designed it to bring in as much light as possible during the day. He has taken advantage of the peekaboo ocean view in his window placement in the remodeled kitchen/bar area. The beds are EXTREMELY comfortable! There was a small issue with some areas that were not cleaned appropriately by his crew, but, the minute I mentioned it to him, he had someone out to take care of it within an hour. I could tell it is very important to him that he provides a clean place for his guests. As a landlord myself, it is my biggest fear in trusting someone else to clean for me, that they will become blind to the obvious that needs to be deep cleaned. I'm sure Drew will ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else in the future. The only other thing I would hope will happen in the near future, is that Drew replaces the failed glass in the living area, as this obstructs the beautiful ocean view. If you want a place to walk out your door to one of the most popular beach spots in Newport, and be in walking distance to Grocery, shops, and restaurants, this is the place for you!

Perfect for a small family

We took our 2 grandsons (9 and 6) to Newport Beach for their spring break. This cottage is a perfect setup for a couple with 2 young children. Larger bedroom has a comfy memory foam mattress and cushy down comforter. Secondary bedroom (for the kids) has an older innerspring mattress and less cushy comforter..but fine for kids. Big bathroom and wonderful shower (it's a climb to get in, tho, with a high wall). Excellently outfitted kitchen with Keurig machine and pods, electric teapot, blender, cooking utensils, dishwasher. Host very generous with toilet paper, paper towels, etc. Piles of oversize towels provided. Long breakfast bar with 3 oversize bar stools. Smallish living area, tho, with a 3 seat couch and 2 small wood chairs. It would be a real squeeze to put 3 or more adults in here, with so little living area. But again, PERFECT with the kids! Just steps from the boardwalk and beach!!! Drew was easy to communicate with. There are no closets or hangers for jackets, robes, outerwear. Some wall hooks or peg wall hangers would have been very welcome as we had cold rain off and on during our stay.. Also would have been nice to be told where the extra pillows were (we discovered them as we were checking OUT), and that brooms and cleaning supplies were in the laundry vestibule located in the little alley behind the front and back units. Outdoor shower and sauna also located back there. All in all, can't beat this place for a family beach getaway with a couple of kids. We'll be back!

One correction, the beds are identical, both are new, neither of them are memory foam. They are super comfy and they are not memory foam. I made a point to make them match. Everything is new. I appreciate the suggestion for hanging clothes. We now have have implemented your idea. All the cleaning supplies are underneath the sink. The extra linens and pillows are underneath the front bed. Piper mentions something in the alley. We don't have anything in the alley. We do have a sauna along with a hot and cold outside shower behind the front home. I hope this information helps.
